Hi out there,
I am an Events Planner in the Department of Psychaitry at the University of California, San Francisco. I am currently planning a conference for psychiatrists, psychologists and other health care professionals about what we call "non-traditional" families, i.e. step families, gay and lesbian parents, adoption, multi-cultural, etc. etc. What we'd like to call the course is "Beyond Ozzie and Harriet", but we want to check in with the Powers That Be to see if it would be OK to use the name. Any idea who to ask? Thanks!

All I know is that in the 1980's, when the Disney Channel aired them, there was a large disclaimer that these were courtesy of Harriet Nelson but as she's since passed on, I'd guess that David would be the logical heir to them. Although, he was angry about how his family was depicted on the A&E bio, I have to say that David himself came across as a very consciencious, resourceful and protective caretaker of his family's legacies and their descendants-and looked at least 20 years younger than his chronological age. I don't know how to get in touch with him but maybe putting his name on a search engine could yield results!
