David White's Son

I was surfing on the internet a few days ago, and I learned something that I hadn't known before.

David White's son, was killed in the Lockerbie plane crash back in December 1988. He was 33 years old.

I remember all the coverage from that crash, yet I never knew this.

Just wanted to correct that it was not a plane crash, but a terrorist bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland.

That's very interesting Lurker, I didn't know anything about David Whites's personal life. I assume DW was still alive when this happened to his son, so it would have been something horribly tragic for him to live thru.

Yes, David White was still alive. He went through a period where he was very bitter, as would be expected.

He died not quite two years later. A heart attack, I believe.

Also, he was a widower, when he was raising his 2 children. I think his wife died not long after his son was born. He is survived by a daughter.

Like I had said, I was major shocked when I had read this, a couple of weeks ago.

I remember all the coverage of the Lockerbie bombing, and not once did I read "Former Bewitched Actor Loses Son" .

I do remember reading the Judds being worried that Ashley Judd may have been on that plane, but nothing about David White's son. He obviously was way, way out of the spotlight then.

Also, he was born in 1916, so he would have been in his early seventies when dealing with this tragedy.

1916! That seems so long ago. Would you happen to know what other parts David White played in his career?

So David White's son was named Jonathan? Maybe that's why the writers gave Larry Tate's son the same name.
