I doubt it.

I saw a commercial for it yesterday. Is the husband the same guy from the movie?

Nope it isn't. He had some other commitments. Theyre getting someone else to play the husband.

John Corbet,The husband from the movie is going to be in another midseason sitcom,"Lucky" but supposidly he will have a recurring role on MBFGL as the husband's best friend.

And to answer your question, I doubt it.

It won't be anywhere as good as the film...and to be perfectly honest, the film wasn't THAT great. I will watch it, but I doubt it'll be anywhere as funny. It'll probably be scattershot comedy, milking the heck out of the fantastic supporting cast. It'll be the highest rated show tonight probably, but when it moves to Sunday...boy is it gonna slide. I love Lanie Kazan and Michael Constantine, but I don't think they have enough energy for a primetime series. NYPOST previewed some of the mid-season shows, and one of the worst on the list was MBFGL, with Lost At Home & Charlie Lawrence as the best. I'll see how it is tonight...but don't expect any fireworks.

TV Guide liked it calling it "One of the better mid-season shows" so I guess we'll see....

It's ok so far, but (excuse me -- CHANGES) already: He's calling his wife "Nia" and she was Tula in the movie. Also Tula's (Nia's?) father gave the house in the movie but in the first ep, he's giving them the house for the first time. ???????????????

Those aren't bloopers. They changed things around for the series.

Anyway I liked it but it wasn't as good as the movie. It's alot what I thought it was going to be like which is "Everybody Loves Raymond" which a Greek family instead of Italian.IMO it should stay on Mondays and "Yes Dear" should go to Sunday.Monday SHOULD look like this:

8:00-King of Queens
8:30-My Big Fat Greek Life
9:00-Everybody Loves Raymond
9:30-Still Standing

I'd like that.

Bloopers, changes, whatever. The story "continued" into the series and they rewrote it, and that was dumb! There was no need to do that.

I agree. That was my biggest nitpick. My only other one is that there's no words in the theme song. Not even an "Oompa"!
