This is Times Square in NYC, also referred to as the theatre district. A while back it was really all run down, full of prostitutes and XXX-rated movie houses, but the city invested money into renovating it and it's just spectacular now. Lots of brilliantly lit-up billboards, restaurants, souvenir shops, Broadway shows, and street performers...it is alive and kicking 'round the clock. One of the most exhilirating places I've been, especially on New Years Eve - it's jam packed with people and completely nucking futs! :D

Massachusetts was home to many famous things happening in colonial times (I.E. Revolutionary War, Paul Revere, etc)

And yes,it is just exactly like in the movie "Sweet Home Alabama". As a matter of fact, two guys got into a fight yesterday over who had the better coon dog. And one of them got punched in the face. Hey, someone else from Michigan!
It's a good ole state! Oh, let me see, something about Michigan... oh yeah, WE INVENTED THE CAR! I'm from right outside of the Motor City.
Let's see, famous people from Michigan: Henry Ford, Tim Allen, Diana Ross, James Earl Jones, Eminem, (I live right off of 8 Mile myself), Robin Williams (who's from my home town) and Pam Dawber. (Yes, both Mork AND Mindy are from the Great Lakes State!)
Oh yeah, and we're right across the bridge from Canada, where everything's on sale :)

You're welcome. :)
You know, I can't imagine what a 231 mph. wind would feel like. It would probably blow anyone off the mountain! If anyone was up there on that day, they ended up in Iowa or somewhere in the great plains.
Speaking of mountains, I finally climbed a mountain peak behind my house (but it's only 2,771 feet high). I've been looking at it since 1966 when my parents moved into this area, but never climbed it until Dec., 2002. What a view from the top; someday I'll post the pics I took. On a clear day, you can see the ocean (it was not that clear on the day I hiked).
