The name of the song is Just Another American Dream by Larry Groce.

It is from his album Crescentville (1971) according to one website visitor.

Note: I've added a post below this with new updated information.

Ok here is some new information:

According to the NBC.com FAQ page (http://www.nbc.com/nbc/footer/FAQ.shtml), it is called "An American Folk Song" and is not credited to any one artist.

According to this page (http://members.fortunecity.com/americandreams2002/adepisode14.html), "Another American Folk Song", was written by the actor, Warren Sroka. The producers at American Dreams loved the song and actor and created the part expecially for him.

You can download a 160 bitrate or 320 bitrate mp3 of it here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/americandreams/).

Hi,
I am Davina. I am glad I found your site. I would like to know about the terrific song "Just another American dream". You say it is by Larry Groce, in his 1971 album , Crescentville. Is this available on CD? Is this a rare item to find, or will it be easy to locate? If I dont reply quickly to the reply, it's because i am a working full time student, who occasionally will sleep instead of replying quickly to email or posts. so please be patient with me. American dreams is the only program I watch. I video tape it so I can watch it while eating. Geez, have to squeez my entertainment in somewhere. thanks ahead of time for the reply on the "just another american dream" song. davina.

Wow,
i am impressed with the homework and diligence gone into finding out about "Another American Folk Song" on American Dreams. So, from what i understand, Larry Groce originally sang this tune under another title. But, Warren Sroka sang it in his style on American Dreams. Which means there is no cd to buy at any store i assume. So, the only way to get it is by downloading it onto a DVD off the computer. But, I am so new to using a computer, i wouldnt know how to do this. I hope to find someone who can. wish me luck. but, what website do i refer them to to download it from?
thanks a bunch everyone. especially TJ. and a howdy to Julia.
