what makes king of queens so special to you

what makes king of queens so specail to you? for me it´s this kind of reality-thing.... i mean the characters, all of them, don´t seem to be unreal, just actors, they appear real to me! in particular doug and carrie! did you notice when carrie for example kisses doug, after the kiss she tenderly strokes dougs lips or something like that....or they exchange those "working day-tendernesses" like real people do, or at least should do. the looks, the touches, the words it all sounds and looks real. i mean, i haven´t seen those details in any other movie, at least i didn´t notice them. take the episode "Better Camera" and remember dougs face when he asks at the end, whether he´ll get his sledge for his birthday, boy, i´d give my last dollar to buy him one, and i´m not gay! but there are many things like that also on the other characters, for example spence´s embaressed looks or deacon´s stressed expressions or richie´s bored ones....of course arthur....boy i love this guy, he always plays his role so you don´t think it´s an actor but a real old bellyaching neighbor.
but the main thing to me is the chemistry between doug and carry, i mean they show us a relation in which way it should be! still emotionally and true after years!

THE KING OF QUEENS is absolutely fabulous and the best way for me to relax after a long day at university or whatever.

i think that the greastest aspect of koq is the realism of the characters. the show is just so believable. and just hilariously funny and well written.:D

I started watching the show when it first started because of Leah Remini. I am a huge fan of hers (you can probably tell by all the autographs I have of her on my site). But then I really started liking the show because it's funny. And that is why I still watch it today!

This shows special to me because I love the way this show is like reality.I like how Doug and Carrie solve their problems in the end like they make up I think thats sexy.Im a sensitive person so thats why I like that.I also like their house too its cool.Leah Remini makes it real special too.

The show's special to me for two reasons:

1) Leah Remini

2) The releationship between Doug, Carrie, & Arthur is very similar to Myself, my girlfriend, & her father. Although I'm not as big as Doug is, I am the pig in the household. My girlfriend is exactly the little spitfire Carrie is, and her father is just as bad as Arthur when it comes to not knowing what the hell's going on sometimes.

I love that its so funny, that they fight but you still know they have a lot of love for eachother, that Doug is fat (haha), their house, all the furniture, the bedroom, Leah is hot, Arthur is a riot, its real in terms of day to day living. I love it sooooo much! I'm such a FREAK lol. I made my KOQ scrapbook and I have a massive sized poster of them hanging above me but I think one of my favorite things show related is that I have a salt and pepper shaker set that is of little TVs with thier pictures on it. They are very cute.

Thought I'd resurrect an old thread,hope it doesn't come back to haunt me.;)

Why I love the show:

1.) It's true to life. It doesn't always end on a happy note, things don't always work out perfectly.I like that, 'cause we all know the world 'is not made of marshmallows'.

2.) To me, the storylines are believable. I'm all for an occasional 'dream sequence' episode, but I'm not the biggest fan of over the top plots, such as lottery winning, etc. The plots are extremely clever, believable, fresh, as in, 'haven't been done before', and of course, hilarious!! :)


3.) IMO, the cast has the greatest chemistry I've seen on any show.They vibe off eachother so well that it seems like they're not even scripted.Especially Leah and Kevin..:lol: I laugh just thinkin' of it!

4.) Leah Remini, Kevin James, Jerry Stiller, and the rest of the cast.GREAT actors, great writing, great comedy!!

5.) I can relate to it.....and it's damn hilarious!!!! :rofl:

well its hard to believe but aurther reminds me of my grandfarther at time, especially if he is upset and says "Damn!"And Doug reminds me of myself... he loves to eat watch tv and bowl so do i, and now since i have been lookin at the show for a while i find my self sayin yuspah and espeacially "son of a mother". also Carrieand i both grew up in brooklyn. and aurhter and his wife had there first christmas in Flatbush(section of Brooklyn)and thats where i was born.

For me it's just genuinely funny. The cast is naturally funny, it's not just a bunch of actors trying (badly) to be funny.

And I LOVE Jerry's character. He's my favorite.
