It's stupid, yes they should cancel it. The only episode I have watched in years was the one where Avril performed and let me tell you I sat through LONG boring unfunny crap. jmo

I also liked the Jeopardy ones!

But the best was always the cartoons by Robert Smigel!

I hate the Al Gore and President Bush impressions but I love the Regis impressions!

 You rock!! Mooahaha. Anyways. The years with Cheri Oteri were the best.... I love the Jeopardy ones...
Sean Connery: I'll have The Rapists for $200.
Alex: That's THERAPISTS. Why don't we do Show and Tell for $600?
Clue: Name the object shown
Minne Driver: *buzzes in* A man with a moustache!!
Alex: No, I am NOT the object!

This season has been just OK. Last season received some of the series' best ratings. This season seems a bit weaker if you ask me, and the ratings have been a bit down. The one with Nia Vardalos was quite good actually, but Lorne Michaels has been rumored to rid of SNL in 2005...the 30th anniversary of it.

No Way! SNL Rocks! I loved the Aykroyd-Belushi years.

This cast rocks too.

Well....it's half and half. I liked a few years ago a lot better. The only thing I REALLY watch SNL for these days is the Weekend Update with Tina and Jim

I don't care much for SNL anymore. It was better back in the day. It would make no difference to me if they cancelled it or not.

I think this season has just been ok. I really enjoyed the episode with Al Gore. Last Season was excellent, imo. Even though the episodes might not always be funny casts will change so maybe newer and funnier people will be added to the show. Personally, I don't ever want to see the show end because well what would Saturday Nights be without Saturday Night Live?

No way! If they had cancelled it every time it started to get stale, we might have missed out on the comedy of people like Eddie Murphy, Phil Hartman, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Martin Short, Dennis Miller, Cheri Oteri, Chris Farley and so on and so on.

I think SNL lost something when Will Ferrell left the show. However, I still think it is a good show. Keep in mind, this show is a launching pad for future talents like Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, David Spade, etc, etc.

I loved the one with Al Gore. That was funny when he was trying to pick who to run with, and then how he wouldn't stop kissing Tipper...

I don't think it should be canceled. If it seems like it's not as good, it could just be the current cast and the cast always changes, so it might get better. And there are still some really funny episodes...the one with Ben Affleck was great. Esp. the scene with Cheri Oteri and he was the car dealer. :D

Personally, I don't find much of it funny. I don't watch it that often, so I could care less if they canceled it.

I don't think they should cancel it. But I do think that they need to focus on the old type of comedy, the kind that worked. Their idea od comedy has shifted throughout the years. They need to steer clear of the idea that Jimmy Fallon is funny and that he makes people laugh. It's not true. There is one surefire way to get the best ratings they have ever gotten. Make Christopher Walken a cast member. The best episodes are the ones he's hosted. But seriously, SNL needs to stop filling their cast with pretty people and put in people with talent that can mak a good show (i.e. Rachel Dratch is probably the best person on the show now, with Darrell Hammond and Chris Parnell).

Some of my fav Chris Walken SNL lines:

"I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!"

"Please! Sit down! Let's have some champagne (Sham-pan-ya)"

"My wife; she's a bobcat!"

"There's no stopping the bird attacks now!"

"I jumped out and pranked him. To death with a tire iron."

"If I were to watch Centaur porn.. but with the bottom of the screen blocked out with a piece of cardboard.. would I find the human halves of the female actresses appealing? "

I think the letters SNL now stand for "Skits with No Laughs." I don't think it should be cancelled, but they need to get better writers and a cast with talent. Fey and Fallon are the worst Weekend Update anchors I've ever seen! Chevy Chase and Jane Curtain would be rolling over in their respective graves,...if they were dead.:happyface

They definetly shouldn't cancel it. Sure it's kind of stale right now but it's been stale at other times during it's run too. Who knows what comic genious' that might come on in the future. I'm mreally not a fan of the curent SNL but it's not as if it hasn't been stale before this at certain points. That's what happens when you're cast isn't pernament It changes. This show can live forever because ten years from now it will be totally different with new writers/proformers.

I thought phil hartman was one of the best.Crystal, murphy,Joe piscopo were stand outs.I liked chase and out of the old cast the best.

No!! That show still gets pretty good ratings despite the fact it has been on for 3 decades now. And it still wins its time slot. It beats out MAD TV.

Oh hell Yeah, take the show off. The last time it was funny was when Eddie Murphy was a cast member. and that was nearly over two decades ago. Kill it please

Well, I don't think they should cancel it completely. Just boot off the current cast members that pull it down. The one that I first thought of was Horatio Sanz. He's soooooo annoying, and the only skits that he does are about drugs!!! Who wants to watch that???? Everytime he is on, I turn the channel.
