Brandon Cruz getting glasses during the show's third season

I've always wondered why there was never an episode of "Courtship of Eddie's Father" about Eddie getting glasses, since Brandon Cruz started wearing glasses during the show's third and final season. I know there was one episode featuring Brandon wearing his glasses in the closing "Peanuts" segment-Episode # 69-"It's All Write With Me".
