I don't think so.

I doubt it. He is getting older and I think the Cowboys would be better off with a younger coach.

I don't think Jones will give up the control or the money that Parcells requires - though he's already admitted to the press that he knows he'll have to open the wallet this time. Parcells is too smart and too good a coach to work with Jones. He did get the go-ahead from his doctor so I think there's a good chance he'll go somewhere - I just don't see it happening in Dallas.

I say the chance is 50 - 50.
Jones is sick of losing.
The money is not what is holding him back, it's the control issue.
And Parcells would come to Dallas if the conditions are met.
He has a sort of fascination with it, and even named his daughter Dallas.
If Parcells thinks he can fix the Cowboys in a few years, he's kidding himself.
And if he thinks he can just walk away from the Cowboys after two seasons and pull another of his "I'm retired" stunts, he better run far away, cause Jones will come after him!

Coming from a Giants fan here in New York, I'd have to tell Jerry Jones to beware of Bill Parcells. Even though Parcells is an excellent coach, he has always been known as a guy who can't make up his mind. He's always retiring and coming back to the NFL. Years ago, he agreed to leave the Giants and coach the Falcons, but at the last minute changed his mind. He did the exact same thing last year with the Buccaneers. He also doesn't coach for that long. He'll coach for about 3-4 years and get tired and retire again. (Just like he did with the Jets.)

If you've been listening to any of the sports radio shows, Brian, by now you know that Parcells coaching the Cowboys, the sworn enemy of the Giants, is nothing short of blasphemy! I have had a really good laugh listening to these guys go off on how evil Parcells would be if he "betrayed" the Giants in such a callous, inhuman way by coaching the *gasp* Dallas Cowboys!
Parcells is in this game for the money, not loyalty. It's about time that people started realizing this.

ESPN is reporting that Bill Parcells WILL take the job in Dallas and it could be as early as tomorrow.

If Jerry Jones is serious about winning another Superbowl for the Cowboys, he's heading in the right direction with Bill Parcells.
He's a no-nonsense coach with great instincts who likes to do things his own way. That's why he left the NE Patriots. The owner, Bob Kraft, wasn't allowing Parcells to pick his own players.
Parcells said something along the lines of, "If I can't shop for the groceries, I can't make the dinner." Paraphrasing here.
PS--I don't know the first thing about football. These are the hubby's words, lol

Sure he's in it for the money. There's no shame in that. He's loyal to the team he's coaching. He turned the Jets around. If he feels he doesn't have the team he needs to be winners, he's gone. There's lots of movement in the coaching world.
Besides, he has a health condition.
I'm glad he's back in the game. He's colorful and he wants to win.

Right, that's laughable. A coach or a player owes zero loyalty to a former team. If Roger Clemens can pitch for the Yankees, boo hoo, then anything goes.
The Boston Red Sox--Losing the World Series since 1918.
I *gasp* miss Roger.
