I got a message from the moderator of the TV Land Barney Miller message board that the show will stay on for the rest of December and very likely through January (as posted previously).
If you haven't done so already, post your message in the TV Land message board thanking them for having the show on and asking for the schedule for the coming months. If you get a reply, it will probably be something like "thanks... we'll let you know when we know", but at least they'll see that the show has fans who appreciate them showing it. Who knows? Maybe through our participation, the show might stay on longer than however long they have planned it to be on.
I've also found out that it's better to steer away from negative comments or whining (why is it on so late? why is it on just once a day? or you should show it at 8:00 PM instead), and to not mention taping the show, or much less offering to trade and things of the like.
