For it's 2nd season according to Entertainment Weekly "Watching Ellie" will drop the clock and will become a traditional 4-camera show with a studio audience.

hmmm...I hope they've improved the writing too, the show has potential but I didn't find it that funny..and yet I still made a website out of it...I was bored......nevermind.

Here it is (http://www.geocities.com/watchingellieriggs)
Right now it is pretty much just pictures, if I like the new season I may start to update the site but if I don't like the new season I'll just delete the site.

Hopefully it'll be much better. They need to hire new writers though. Because last season wasn't all that funny.

I love Julia but the real-time aspect of this show didn't work. The reason why it works so well for 24 is because there's 3 storylines.

"Watching Ellie" might have made it in its original format if Julia Louis-Dreyfus and her husband Brad Hall hadn't succumbed to pressure to change it. By adopting a standard format, they abandoned what originally made "Watching Ellie" so unique. What was the point of abanadoning real-time and going for more cameras when the Halls were trying to be different? Too bad. :(

They had to. Mother Zucker would have axed the show on the spot if they hadn't. One day, he's all high on single-cam sitcoms. The next, he hates them. So he throws 3 episodes in the garbage and gives us all 6 episodes of the horrible four-camera second season.
And then he cancels it anyway.
