Not much else is known. It happened on Tuesday, apparently. He was 32.

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Glenn Quinn, who played the
visionary half-demon Doyle on the first season of The WB's "Angel," has died.

Quinn, 32, died Tuesday (Dec. 3) of unknown causes. Further
details were unavailable at press time.

Prior to "Angel," Quinn, who was born in Ireland, had a recurring
role on the ABC sitcom "Roseanne" as the boyfriend, and then husband, of Roseanne's daughter Becky (played by Lecy
Goranson and Sarah Chalke at various times during the show's run).

He also appeared in several feature films, most recently the independent movie "RSVP," which played at several film festivals this year.

Quinn appeared in the first nine episodes of "Angel" in 1999, playing a half-human, half-demon whose visions of people in distress directed Angel's (David Boreanaz) investigations into the demon underworld of Los Angeles.

In his last appearance, Doyle sacrifices his life for the greater good, passing on his visions to Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter). At the time, "Angel" co-creator Joss Whedon said Doyle's death was planned from the start of the series. He was replaced by Wesley
Wyndham-Price (Alexis Denisof), a character who, like Angel and Cordelia, characters who originated on Whedon's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

A spokesperson for Mutant Enemy, Whedon's production company, expressed condolences to Quinn's family.

I can't beleive he died. He was so young and I loved his character on Roseanne.

So sad. And he died in the city that I live in (North Hollywood). I'm sure the cast is grieving, he was on the show for a very longtime, I think he came in the middle of season 3.

Do you think it might be drugs?

I think someone said it may have been caused by drugs on the Chit Chat board.

I don't want to start any rumors, but it sounds like something like that. Especially if he was otherwise healthy.

Who cares HOW he died?! That's so trivial! For all you know he had cancer and hid it from the press and even if he had a drug overdose it's none of anybody's business.

I'm just finding out about this and I'm devastated. He was a terrific actor. If you guys never saw him on "Angel" you probably couldn't tell but he played the character of Doyle wonderfully. I'll be mourning this for quite some time. My prayers are with the family. :(
