It is clearly the best sitcom. It doesn't go out and try to change the world, it's fun and very helpful to parents, you should see some of the e-mails I get from fans thanking the show for helping in dealing with teenagers.

I think that the biggest problem which should be touched on is the character of Kyle. He's this meaningless, worthless character who just pops in and out. What's the point of having him?

I believe this show is one of the best around, unlike most shows, this show deals with many issues towards teenagers, that's why it is so different and unique from any other type of show on TV.
I love Janet

I love this show! Is it nominated as best new comedy for an Emmy?

Emmy? The Emmys were held back in September. And I seriously doubt that it will ever be nominated for an Emmy (well, maybe John will).
If you meant People's Choice, then yes. It has been nominated and I think it has a good chance of winning.

It'll most likely win the people's choce award (although there are MANY Bernie Mac Show fanatics), but no emmys or golden globes for this one.

No...but I have had some experience with predicting things like this. I've been a member of www.goldderby.com for about 3 years, and have learned a ton of chances of people and things winning. So trust me on this one, 8SR gets no emmys. John won't because if they got rid of one of last year's nominees, they'd put in Eric McCormack for his excellent portrayal of Will....and if they get rid of two...you'll be seeing Ted Danson and Eric McCormick. Believe me, they'll have at least 4 of last year's best actor nominees intact.

You watch, John will be nominated for Best Actor. And aren't you the won who e-mailed Gold Derby and they said John has a good chance? My how you change things around...

No offense to John, but one of the reasons why actors win Emmys is because they have good material to work with. 8SR is a fun show to watch but it's not really as sophisticated as other shows on right now.

But you see, you asked if it was nominated for 'best new comedy' and Emmys don't have that catagory. They just have "Best Comedy". However, the People's Choice does have a 'best new comedy' catagory. So you can see how I was easily confused.
