1. The episode when Gloria suffered a miscarriage. He came into the room to comfort her. Without saying a word his love for his daughter was so powerful. She saw it without saying a word.
2. When Gloria got pregnant again and he had her on his lap to comfort her after Mike stormed out of the house. He made her laugh.
3. The Christmas episode when the draft dodger, a friend of Mike and Gloria's, shared dinner with them. The secret blew open and what a powerful performance Mr. O'Connor gave when he expressed deep emotion and anger about the war. That episode moved me to tears.
4. The final scene when Mike and Gloria was about to get into the cab to leave for Califonia in their final episode. He showed a great deal of emotion and a deep love for his son-in-law.
5. When him and Mike was locked in the storage room at the bar. He explained about his father beating him and how he was teased growing up. It was a bonding time between him and Mike.
6. When he overdosed on the pills as Archie tried to open his bar. He broked down and apolozed to Edith and admitting that he wished that he would had listened to her. It was moving and powerful when he told Edith that he did not mean any harm. That is another episode where I get emotionally worked up.
