WKRP on TV anywhere?

I have DirecTV and haven't been able to find WKRP anywhere. Anyone know if it's being shown?

As far as I know, it's only being shown in Canada right now. Someone posted it may be shown in Cincinatti in 2003.

Answer my a question about direct tv; do you get a channel on their called KDOC out of Anaheim. I was surprised to hear someone mention that it was, but maybe they just lived in southern california.

Also, do you have a channel called Trio?
If you get any of this stuff, maybe we can trade one of these days.

I have left messages with the station manager to return my calls to find out if they are the cut versions or the originals but haven't heard back yet. I just found out and am so exicted to see the show again. I am going out to buy tapes right now. By the way, to the person who askes if directv has trio, the answer is yes they do.

I just checked their website and programming grid, and there is no listing as of yet.
Where did you hear this or see this?

You also once stated that you talked to Columbia House and that they said they were going to release WKRP in February. Any word on that?

Well here we are, Wednesday Feb 5, and no WKRP on the schedule for WXIX. I really wonder why you say these things.

I sent and email and got a response and they said "no" and that they don't own the rights and that maybe TVLand owns it.

I'll post the actual email tomorrow (it is on my work computer).

So I doubt you saw it today.

Unless this WXIX is not in Cincinnati because that is the one I'm talking about - and I think their program director knows what is on.

The Comedy Network here in Canada has been airing WKRP since 1999! I have all of the episodes on tape, but not in the right order! I voted on /tvshowsondvd.com/ for WKRP to be put in a season by season DVD set! I have the first three seasons of MASH on DVD and it's great!

Well here is what I have to say. First, I don't have to defend myself to you because I don't even know you but I will say this. I watched WKRP for the last week and half and that is all I know. It come down to my word against yours. Even if anyone believes that the station manager actually wrote that message, for all we know you wrote it yourself, he could be wrong or you might have had the wrong station, I don't know and don't care, but I did watch it. People who lie have an agenda for doing so or something to gain. What would I possibly have to gain by lying? What would I get out of it. I invite anyone to call the station and ask for themselves because I don' believe you did. By the way, to the other post, MASH season three is out already? The episode on this morning was the one about where Herb buys his daughter a frog and spray paints it pink and it dies. In regards to your other comment, I don't know why you care so much about a station you can't even get. That is what I have been wondering. First off, I have way more credibility than you. I go out of my way to answer people's questions if I can.

I care because you are telling people WKRP is airing in the United States right now and that is not true. If it is airing in one city in the US you give hope that it will soon air in others.

I know the Comedy Network airs WKRP at 4:30 am , 10:30 am and then 4:30 pm. And if you are watching that channel why would you keep saying it is WXIX?

So what time is it on WXIX?

1. I say it's not on their programming grid - you say yes that is strange but it is on.

2. I say I got an email from their operations director saying "no" and post the contents - you say I made it up or the guy in charge is wrong.

If it turns out that Frog Story aired in Canada today, then I know you just like to play games or make things up.

AND if it turns out that I am wrong and it is on WXIX, I will apologize, but will still have no idea why the operations manager told me what he did.

I called WXIX -(513-421-1919) and talked to Rick Oliver directly and he told me emphatically that WKRP is definitely not on, and that HE makes the schedule.

NOW who is telling the truth here?

Sorry about the long layoff since replies, it is not that I have not been answering as some people think, we just had a huge snowstorm here and I could not get to the computer until today. I would greatly appreciate if those ladies could check and reply, but I still don't think it would do any good as they would be called liars too but at least it would shut certain people up for awhile. Have they checked yet? Try as soon as possible because I would like to be vindicated.

I just checked your first post on this thread, from 1/28, if it is not listed on the grids, how did you know it was going to come on? Then you said, it's not listed in the grid. Now you are saying the call is not local, so how did you contact them on 1/28?

Believe me, this show is not airing, it doesn't air on locals AT ALL.

Go back and check the logs from November. I heard it was coming on then and that is another reason I would not lie. Why would I "plan" my lie for three months just for this? It is not a local station for me but my cable channel carries it as one of my locals since we are short a fox affliate here. It is a long distance call for me but I still get the channel.

I thought this was supposed to be a friendly place to discuss shows but I have been called a liar for no reason at all. I logged out and logged in because I am on a school computer and a class came in so I had to change labs, that was the only reason. I did not register or type that message in any way. I did not say you lied right off.

Second, after you assure me it is on, I tell you I got an email from the operations manager saying it isn't. That is good enough for me and I believe you are not telling the truth.

I will say this for the upteenth time, I am not lying. If you called the station manager, maybe he was wrong, maybe you called the wrong station, maybe you never even did call. If you can say that you don't believe me that its on here, I can say I don't believe you ever even call there in the first place. I am in a much better position than you to know since I can actually get the station, and as far as the grid goes, the stations are usually behind in updating them. I have watched the show since the first week of the month, and I don't know how else to say it. Not to say that stations necessarily go in order, but they don't usually jump from season to season within a week.

First, I have answered those accusations in the only I know how..that is... I didn't do it. That was not my IP that that person had, however, it might be similar since they must live around here in order to get the station in the first place. I have done everything I know to do, and yes, I would post the logo but I'm not going to go to the trouble if you are going to call me a liar anyway. Next, I didn't say FOX had the rights to the show, I said it airs in that station which is an afflliate of Fox but that does not mean that all programs they air Fox has the right to, it just means that they show FOX shows in prime time. Third, if you knew WXIX you would know that they jumble around seasons all the time. It used to bother me to no end when they showed series like SOAP so its nothing new. Finally, you have no more proof that I am lying than I have that you called the station. It seems so full of yourself to say I am lying simply because YOU say so. You would be great in a courtroom. You are guilty because I say so. You have no proof. When one person comes on this board and says they can get the station and it does not air, then that will be proof, until then, there is none. If you are so sure, why everytime do I offer to prove it, you shoot it down? I could fly you out here, turn on WXIX personally, and you would find some excuse to call me a liar.
