I had no idea until the internet came along that there were two Mrs. Sorrell's. The only Pickles I ever knew was Joan Shawlee. But, recorded in the IMDB is listed a Barbara Perry who, apparently, played Pickles. I was thinking that, since I do recall a couple of times we only heard Pickles on the phone, that maybe Ms. Perry only did a voice-thing.

I hate to keep flooding this board with silly questions...

But I need help with this one, too. Does anyone know where there are photo's of the two Mrs. Sorrell's? I know what Joan looked like, but I really dont remember Barbara.

*sigh*

Oh, well, now that I know and TVLand is starting from episode #1 tomorrow, I guess I'll have to watch for the change-up...

I'm sure there's someone around here far more apt to answer this than me, but I'll take a stab at it. I believe they were each in two episodes (making only a mere total of 4 episodes that Pickles was ever actually shown). I believe Joan Shawlee was the first and I don't remember what the episodes were that she was in, but the second, Barbara Perry, was in 'My Husband is a Check Grabber' and the episode where Buddy and Pickles get in that massive arguement. I know there's a picture of both women in "The Dick Van Dyke Show Book", but I don't know if they have it anywhere on the internet.

I appreciate the effort, but I got this same info from the IMDB...but one thing the book may be able to tell us that the IMDB doesnt and thats why there was a change-up. I guess I'll have to watch the show to see the difference...:(

Thanks!

Oops, I did mix them up. Barbara was first and Joan second. Sorry.
