I was just watching nick at nite before and it showed a commercial that the week of Thanksgiving they're going to have a marathon of all TV shows that had reunion specials. They showed a clip of that Cosby show special that aired this year, some Andy Griffith thing and I can't forget what else. Well, if we ever have the chance to see Still the Beaver or the New Leave it to Beaver this would be our chance!! I don't know all the shows they'll have for this marathon, but we may be lucky!

sorry to burst your bubble, but if you go to www.nickatnite.com you will see the shows they are featuring, and litb is not one of them.... That would be great if it did happen though, perhaps we can convince tvland to do a box set on still the beaver or air the reunion movie....

Here's something I found on the TVLand board about the reunion movie and the new litb series. Someone asked what the possibility of seeing the New LITB and Still the beaver reunion was. This was posted by a host that works for TVLand...

[TVLTheLink: While "Still the Beaver" did provide a future for the original storyline, the show really was not anywhere near the quality of the original or a classic. I wouldn't rate it in the 50 worst of all time, but it was a hard show to watch for all except the most enamored of "Leave It to Beaver" fans who were craving more of the show. Moreover, I believe this show is syndicated by Disney or a similar entity that tends to keep "its" shows for its networks.

Looks like unless Disney decides to show it or sell it...We don't stand a chance of ever getting to see it.:(

I think Disney sold it to TBS, but I do remember the series being syndicated on local stations as well, so I'm not sure this TVland person knows what he's talking about.

You know...I thought about that after I posted that...Disney DID sell the show to TBS, so I don't think it's possible for Disney to still own it...I honestly just don't know. All I know is that I want to see it!!!!!!!

I managed to get a REALLY bad copy of the movie, with the sound-blanking out, bad picture, and most of the Wally-Mary Ellen parts cut out...but its better than nothing. ;) And a bunch of New Leave it to Beaver eps, which are in similar quality, but again, better than nothing. Actually, the best copy I have is one episode that I managed to record myself a LONG time ago. If people are really interested though, I could make copies when I get a chance. I'm still hoping that some station will one day air the movie and the series. The other day I saw Charles in Charge on Nick at Nite. Now if they are going to air something like Charles in Charge, they really ought to show New Leave it to Beaver!!!!!

Completely and totally 100% agreed!

I SOOO wish I had a copy of the Still the Beaver movie and some of the eps...dang. I want to see it so bad!!!! I wish I would have been born about 10 years before I was...because the NLITB started the year after I was born...and Still the beaver was a year before I was born. The only thing I watched during the 80s was Muppet Babies (in which Barbara Billingsley provides the voice for Nanny:D), so I know I never saw the NLITB.

I watched the Muppet Babies too!!! NLITB started when I was 5 or 6, but when I was 10 (I was watching the re-runs by then), it was my favorite tv show. I keep remembering snippets of it here and there, and sometimes I wonder if I'm remembering correctly or not. Like the other day I was watching the Leave it to Beaver episode where Benji thinks Beaver turned into a rock, and Beaver comes in at the end to show Benji that he's still a person. I got this "feeling" that I've seen something like that before, except more extreme, where some kids thought someone had been killed, but then she shows up in the end. The more I thought about it, the more I became convinced that this happened on NLITB, where Eddie Haskell and his wife get in a fight, and the kids think he kills his wife, Gert, and the cops come and in the end Gert walks in all fine. LOL. Then I looked at the tvtome.com website where it lists the episode titles, and there it is, an episode called "Murder in Mayfield", so I think I might have actually remembered that episode correctly. Does anyone else remember anything else about this show? Or am I the only one who saw it?;)

Another thing I remember from when I was young was that I, and all my friends who watched the show, used to think Beaver was really cute. Keep in mind that we were about 10, and he was in his 30s. But then I saw some of the episodes and he looked pretty bad, WAY overweight. Then just recently, when I acquired some more episodes, there was an episode from one of the later seasons, and he had lost SO much weight and he looked SO cute and Beaver-ish again that I realized why we all thought he was a cutie.

Sorry, I'm rambling and reminiscing, but I just love that show!!!! Yes, its not exactly high-quality television, but who cares? Its a fun show, and they need to show it again!!!!!!

I have 31 episodes of New Leave it to Beaver and 8 episdes of Still the Beaver on video. I also have the reunion movie with a few parts cut out. The tv episodes i have are great quality. Disney aired the movie and the Still the Beaver episodes and sold it to TBS (Turner) and the show was changed to the New Leave it to Beaver
