The San Francisco Giants blew a perfect opportunity to win the World Series. They were winnng 5-0 and threw the game away. Now the Momentum of the series has shift to the Angels and believe me they will win tomorrow. Maybe next year Barry Bonds.
I certainly hope so. I've been pulling for them since game one against those dern Yankees! I'm expecting a really good game, and hopefully it will be one. Go Anaheim!

I was routing for barry bonds but i knew when the giants blew a 5-0 lead i game 6-I knew there was no way that the could win in game 7 because the momemtum was not on the Giants side
Good. The best team won! It was a good series all in all and Barry was denied yet again. ...That just makes the rest of my day a bit better;)
Go Angels...and Rally Monkey!

I think the NBA is the biggest pile of useless crap and the regular season means nothing. Boring! IMO

Suck up what? The fact that the NBA is full of prima donnas'? The regular season is pointless because half the teams make it to the playoffs anyway. The Lakers will most likely win again because NOBODY can stop Shaq.*YAWN* How many days till Spring training? Suck this up, the NBA gets no ratings. Thank God for football!

The best part about that is now the Giants will probably lose Dusty Baker, Jeff Kent and Rob Nen to free agency.

 ... That's worth a good chuckle. Giants front office doesn't keep around talent for too long. There best addition all year this year was Kenny Lofton, and I NEVER thought I'd say that. The guy played hard though, kudos to him. As for the Giants loosing many players, that's fine with me, it'll just go to show Barry can't do it on his own...
Dern, I hope those Rockies rise in '03!

It's not that-I just couldn't believe the Giants blew a 3-2 series lead while winnng 5-0 in gAME 6. i WAS HOPING i was wrong when I started ths post but isee i wasn't. I just wanted Barry to get one championship before his career ended I don't think he will ever get back

The fact is, you think you're always right about things and you're not. Who are you to tell people to stop talking about baseball because the season is over? If you don't like it, don't come to the boards anymore.

The Giants can't keep talent around long enough? Let's review...
Bonds has been on the team nearly a decade, so has Dusty Baker. Kent has been on the team for six seasons, JT Snow, the same. Aurilia is pushing five years. And Nen has been on for a few seasons as well.
And of course Barry can't do it alone. The reason we lost the series is because of the bullpen(which usually is solid) falling apart in the seventh inning of game 5. It wasn't Barry's fault (this is the same player batting 500. in the series, hitting a home run at his first at bat).
Gosh, most of you are regarding the Giants as if they were the Yankees. That's harsh. It's not like the Giants made the Red Sox lose the wild card race. Or the Mariners for that matter...
It was their chance, before all the old timers call it a day. They blew it, which is rather sad...

The Giants bullpen was simply overworked. I think they did the best job that they possibly could have. I just think the Angels had destiny on their side.
