Ok, there have been alot of threads about the top episodes from I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, and Here's Lucy but I've never saw a thread about the top 10 best all time Lucille Ball episodes. So here is my top 10 in no particular order and which show they came from.

Lucy Does a Commercial (I Love Lucy)
Job Switching (I Love Lucy)
Lucy Does an Italian Movie (I Love Lucy)
The Freezer (I Love Lucy)
Lucy and Viv put in a Shower (The Lucy Show)
Lucy Put's up a T.V. Antenna (The Lucy Show)
Lucy Conducts a Symphony (The Lucy Show)
Lucy Meets the Burtons (Here's Lucy)
Lucy is G.N. as a R.N. (Here's Lucy)
Lucy, the Fixer (Here's Lucy)

Old shows I like many of your selections, but I don't think in all of the 500 plus episodes of ILL, TLS, and HL that I would include any episode from "Here's Lucy" as one of the top ten episodes. I truly like Lucy meets the Burtons but not even that one.

This is a hard question. Each series that she has done had both good and bad episodes. It is really hard to judge which episode is the best or one of top 10's because all of the good episodes were excellent and unique in their own way. I tried to make up a top 10 list but I found that there were too many episodes to consider.

Well, i disagree, Lucy meets the Burtons was the only episode of Here's Lucy that matched any ILL show, including the classics. It was such a treat to finally see her go back to her glory days for that particular show! Flawless from start to finish! It should have been an hour, but CBS was too cheap!

And that wasn't the only classic Here's Lucy Show either. There were some more that could hold it own against ILL. Here's Lucy just doesn't get enough respect. If everyone would just take it as it was, a good show, and stop trying to compare it to ILL. You can only make the greatest show of all time once but that doesn't mean the rest of your shows are bad. Just compare Here's Lucy to todays junk instead. Then you would really appreciate it.

I've said this on these boards a hundred times so i apologize, but when The Lucy show came out, they said it wasn't as good as ILL, when Here's Lucy came out they said it wasn't as good as The Lucy show, when Life with Lucy came out they said it wasn't as good as Here's Lucy. The thing is the lady did almost 500 shows and some were great some were so so and some were bad, but all four series had the great ones and the bad ones too, forgot the Lucy Desi comedy hour and even that had a stinker or two along with the excellent ones. And, yes i agree, compare them all to anything shown today and she'd be back on top with any of those old shows! No pun intended!

I would have to agree that if you were to consider every episode of I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, and Here's Lucy from 1951-1974 and come up with a list of the absolute ten best , I too would be hard pressed to include a single episode from Here's Lucy. Of course it is all subjective and a matter of taste. I would say that Lucy Installs a Shower would (perhaps) make my list--from the Lucy Show's excellent first season. However, Here's Lucy I consider very mediocre. Yes, Lucy meets Liz and Dick was a throw back to the glory years and written by Marilyn and Jess, but...perhaps in the top 25. But I say if you love Lucy it really doesn't matter where a show is ranked just sit back and enjoy it.

Well, when making this list up I figured it would be difficult to pick 10 from over 500 episodes. So I figured I would pick my favorites few from each series, the ones that pop in my head whenever I think about the series. I figured this would be a good way to do it since I think Lucy and the Burtons and the other few really really good episodes of Here's Lucy can hold its own against the best of ILL and TLS. And yes, you summoned it up pretty good, if you love watching Lucy, who cares.

Of course then again, I consider there to be more classics on Here's Lucy than just Lucy Meets the Burtons as well. There were some more that I believe live up to the word classic in every sense of the word.

I agree. I consider this episode a classic: "Lucy Is R.N. as a N.G.". That episode was from the last season of series.

Very well said indeed BuddyLove. Most people who claim Here's Lucy wasn't good haven't seen the shows in years, or if they have, they constantly compare it to the greatest TV show there ever was, is that fair? The premise alone of Lucy raising her kids in the turbulent sixties was great, and having her real life kids on the show too was excellent, it's a shame Gary was involved and the writing was hit and miss though!
