Although Fox won the night thanks to game three of The World Series (12.4/18 in primetime, 12.5/19 from 8:15-12:15 a.m.), compared to the year ago third game (16.9/25, New York/Arizona on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001) the San Francisco/Anaheim match-up was off by a considerable 26 percent.

CBS held up considerably well opposite The World Series with its combination of JAG (#1 overall: 10.3/15), The Guardian (#2, 10.0/14) and Judging Amy (#2: 11.0/16).

Over at ABC, the operative Tuesday observation remains growth with 8 Simple Rules (#2: 9.8/14), According to Jim (#3: 8.4/12), Life With Bonnie (#4: 7.4/10), Less Than Perfect (#3: 6.7/ 9) and NYPD Blue (#3: 9.6/15) up, on average, 28 percent from programming on the year ago night

Frasier (#3: 7.7/11), ouch
Cancel In-Laws and Hidden Hills right now:
(In-Laws: #5, 5.1/ 7). Earlier in the evening, the aging Just Shoot Me remains out of the competitive loop with a fourth place 5.1/ 7 at 8 p.m. Also in the loser's circle on NBC was Hidden Hills at 9:30 p.m. (#5: 6.1/ 9) followed by Dateline at a last place 7.3/11 at 10 p.m.

Leaders:
World Series (#1 overall, 12.4/18)
Judging Amy (#2 in timeslot behind World Series, 11.0/16)
JAG (#1 in 8 p.m. hour, 10.3/15)
The Guardian (#2 in timeslot behind World Series, 10.0/14)
8 Simple Rules (#2 in timeslot behind JAG, 9.8/14)
NYPD Blue (#3 in timeslot behind World Series and Judging Amy, 9.6/15)

This is my personal opinion. Just Shoot Me, Hidden Hills, and In Laws will all get the axe at the end of the season. JSM is 100% of of here, Hidden Hills has a 70/30 chance to staying on, but with those ratings...yuck! In Laws is out of here along with JSM. 8SR and Jim will both not only make it through the season, but also get picked up for a 2nd. Frasier will most likely get through the season, and get another one. NBC just loves that show and won't let it go, until it turns into "Danny" or "That Was Then". LWB will probably see itself gettign a 2nd season, although LTP could possibly get the axe at the end...but if it stays like this should go on. I don't see any of the Tuesday dramas saying goodbye. Jag and Amy both get another season, although NYPD could be seeing it's end in the future.

That was my own psychic opinion...I may in fact do this for each night.

This is Jim's second season, I guess you mean it will make it next season, meaning season 3? I see 8SR and Jim in off-network syndication already, when that time comes finally something good to watch on weekdays.
