What do you people make of the Ben character who was Thelma's husband?

I was unhappy when he came on the scene. I stopped watching the show.

I made a mistake. The name of the character who played Thelma's husband was Keith whereas his real life name is Ben Powers. Sorry about that.

I found that the addition of Penny and Keith created a crowded cast of characters. I also felt that he didn't fit in very well in the family for a number of reasons.

I liked the addition on Keith. However when he slapped Thelma, that was it for me. Thelma didn't take that from him though.
