View Full Version : Why did Lisa Kudrow play on Friends and Mad About You at the sametime? You

I didn't start watching Friends until 97 and never was a fan of Mad About you but I wanted why did Lisa Kudrow who played the character Phoebe, was on two different sitcoms at the sametime? I found this to be a little strange.

It was all about timing. Lisa Kudrow first played Ursula on M.A.Y. then got the gig on friends. Since both shows were on NBC and both shows were set in New York City, they decided to make Ursula and Pheobe twins. It wasn't like it was much work because her role on Mad about You was very small.

Thanks-it still would have seemmed like she would have committed herself to Friends since she had a minor part on Mad About You

I didn't think someone was able to play on 2 different sitcoms. That's news to me-Do you know how her character was written out of Mad About You

She never was written out. She remained till the end.
