Well, of course I Love Lucy is a classic. The show simply put was great. Practically every episode was good. Lucy's next show The Lucy Show was also good. I would say the 1st year was superior and the next two were very good. The last three years of the show were good but didn't quite have it with the absence of Vivian Vance and the poorer quality in the scripts. Lucy's 3rd and final major show Here's Lucy was really good. Lucy's daughter Lucie added alot to the show. The show had some really great esipodes as well. Lucy and Elizabeth Taylor's ring is absolutely the best show Lucy ever made.

I love Lucy was great--a classic. The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour was a hit and miss propositon, some episodes were very good (The Neighbor Next Door) Some were pretty bad (The one with Howard Duff and Ida Lupino). The Lucy Show did have a good first year and then every year after got progressively worse. Here's Lucy was pretty mediocre. There were a few good episodes such as the one with Liz Taylor and Richard Burton. But on the whole the writing and some of the situations was horrid. Life with Lucy was a mistake from day one. So I would say each Lucy show after I Love Lucy got progressively worse.

The Lucy Show is way better than any other Lucy shows. Her & Vivian are funny. Then after Viv left her & Mooney were great together. I thought Here's Lucy wasn't a great series. I kind of like Life With Lucy from what I saw.
Favorite series in order:
1: The Lucy Show
2: I Love Lucy
3: We Love Lucy
4. Life With Lucy
5: Here's Lucy
Can anyone tell me why there were two names for The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour? It was also named We Love Lucy.

I think that when the show went into sydnication and they did things like cut the hour long shows into half hour segments they sold it around the country as a package called "We Love Lucy".

No, We Love Lucy was still an hour long show. It was the same as Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour just a different name.

"I Love Lucy": Excellent
"The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour": Good
"The Lucy Show": Excellent
"Here's Lucy": Fair
"Life With Lucy" OK
First I want to say that I love all of the Lucille Ball shows. My two favorites are The Lucy Show and I Love Lucy. "I Love Lucy" is such a classic! The chemisty was good and the writing was extremely good. "The Lucy Show" is another classic from the start! The chemisty between Lucy and Vivian was absolutely priceless during the first three years. The last three years were quite memorable for me- due to wacky adventures Lucy had with Mr. Mooney. They were so funny together. I will never forget them. Never.

There were actually three names for the hour-long show.
When it first premiered it was called The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show (1957-1960, the original run).
During the summers of 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, and 1967 the show was used as a summer replacement series in which it was renamed to The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. This title is still used today.
Instead of airing the show in the hour-long form, each of the thirteen episodes were split in two half-hour parts and thus was called under the title We Love Lucy.
