One of our faculty members is under the impression that the NAACP filed a legal action (or more than one) against CBS in an attempt to enjoin the network's TV broadcasting of Amos 'N Andy.
We've been unable to locate any further information about this, however (e.g. what court(s) it was filed in; when it was filed; docket numbers; what attorneys handled it for the NAACP).
Does anyone know where we might get information about this/these legal fight? We have looked through the 600+ pages of the Amos 'N Andy file in the microfilm set of PAPERS OF THE NAACP, and there is no reference there to any specific legal action.
Thanks in advance for any help anybody might be able to provide ...
