Hey everyone I am new here but have been a fan of this show for a long time!
Has anyone else noticed all the mistakes even looking from the 5th season to the others. I thought Jeannie wasn't able to be filmed on camera but in a previous episode in the 2nd 3rd or 4th season she was photographed with Tony and it appeared in the paper. Also wouldn't Dr. Bellows already have seen Jeannie I think there were episodes when he saw her and then he acted like he never knew her when they got engaged!

The one mistake that really stands out is this.

In the when Tony sees the book that if he married Jeannie she would lose her powers. And Haji sp? tells Jeannie that there is a chance that her their kids could be genies.

Wait! Jeannie and Tony get married in season 5 and she has her powers still even though it was said that she wouldn't be a genie anymore if that happened.

One other thing, When Jeannie's sister pops in and gives her the two purfumes, one that would make Jeannie not like Tony. And the other one is to make Tony fall in love with Jeannie #2. Later at the end, Jeannie blinks Tony an old man so that her sister Jeannie 2 won't take him. And Jeannie 2 is saying that she can't undo what another Genie does. But in the Happy Anniversary, everytime the guy that put Jeannie in her bottle blinks Tony into something. Jeannie blinks Tony back.

I don't think that the whole lotion in a bottle thing was a mistake because Jeannie says that another genie can't remove the age spell of another genie. Not that she can't remove something else like when The Blue Djinn turned Tony into a fly. :D

Anyway the mistake that sticks out at me right now has got to be the the thing about Jeannie losing her powers if she married a mortal.

Oh and HI!! To you folks glad to see that their are new (to me) IDOJ fans around this board. Hope yall continue to look around and talk. If you'd like to check out my IDOJ site the address is www.geocities.com/tv_watcher_6570/twoguysagirlandabottle

Hi Guys it been sometime since I was last here.

You know how in the episode "Have You Ever Had a Genie Hate You" I notice this:

Jeannie's Sister giver her a Blue Flask that had the hate lotion and the White had the love.

Then her sister changes the Blue one into the love lotion and the White one into the hate.

At the end when Anthony tell Jeannie to keep the White Flask away she grabs it and puts in all over Anthony and is back in love with him, but wasn't that the one that had the hate lotion in it?

Others are Jeannie's Birthdays. In the first season she says her birthday is 1st of July. Then in the second she says she doesn't have a birthday. When they ask Eric, Eric prints out her birthday is 1st April, may be Eric was wrong.

In the episode "The Americanization of Jeannie", Jeannie opens an Charge Account and in the episode "Jeannie Breaks the Bank" when she and Major Nelson are talking about his food bill and he see its $1,000 and she says she charged it to his account. But all of a sudden in the 5th season she does know what the hell an charge account is and goes shopping and ends up in jail after that.

Another is if Jeannie was traped it her bottle for 2000 years then how did she met all those people. And remember how in "Jeannie or the Tiger" she say she has see her sister in 200 years but in the series she say she was traped in her bottle for 2000 years.

Someone clear this up for me please, thanks to the people here in New Zealand I will not get to se season 1 and 5 and I can't remember much of the two seasons when I watch them about 15 years ago and the fact I was only a kid.
Jeannie says that Major Nelson is her first master. Some Fan sites say that the Blue Djinn was and trap her in to her bottle and through it in the Pacific beacuse she wouldn't marry him.
What I think is Major Nelson was her first master and the Blue Djinn asked her to marry him but she said no so he changed she into a genie and put her in her bottle and through it in the Pacific. But then how did the rest of her family become genies.

Well I got to go I dream of Jeannie is going to start then Macgyver and Knight Rider on its our wonderful 80s night tonite on TV, got to love the 80s. I dream of Jeannie is on just before all the 80s line up start.
I'll come back after the 80s nite is finished, which will be in 6 hours or I might not.

See you guys later

Well there are some episodes where Jeannie talks about how Tony is the most difficult master she's ever had. And she does talk about all of her former masters. I don't think he was her first master. But Tony does say how she hasn't gotten to have much practice at being a genie. That's a really tough one, to give a straight answer too.

Well, you can taking a page from Pam Ewing, and decide that all the eps with discrepancies are someone's dream! THAT works for ME. Especially since they WERE so odd-like.  :happyface
WHOSE dream? Who's the most likely, depending on plot.

The family all becomming djinn:
They were all, in truth, mortal. When they all became djinn, it was J in disguise, and a manifestation of multiple personalities.

Being trapped in a small space for two millenium would be hard on anybody's mind. Could anyone stand it? :jar:
So, perhaps one could send one's mind and soul outside of that small "Jim Beam" bottle, and inhabit another person's life or body ala "Being John Malkovich," thus having friendships with famous people in history.
Or simply having an imagination, and having pretended to, or dreamed so, in their thoughts.
Who says those costume party guests were the real thing? Would the real people have been so nonchalant about transporting to some stranger's house?

Surreal. :dizzy:

J as a fair-skinned blonde: in those days, women were encouraged to become blondes! So, in being able to send her soul and mind outward into society, or maybe having a mini-TV-set --J saw that "blondes have more fun" and chose that look! :jar: :tv:

Think outside the box, when it comes to inconsistancies!

  :happyface :cow: :sheep :tv:
