Thank you so much TJ for adding it. Favorite episodes anybody?

I like pretty much every episode. It would be easier for me to say the ones that I hate then the ones I like, because I like just about every one of them. I thought most of the episodes from Season 4 weren't on par. I can only count a few from Season 4 that I like. Another one that I don't really like was the very last one, The Bewitching Pool. Other than that, this show rocked and the writers were geniuses. Here's to the Twilight Zone!

OH MY GOD! They are showing my all time favorite episode tonight. The Monsters are Due on Maple Street. I love this episode.

I decided to list a few of my favorites anyway. This is going to be a long list.

Where is Everybody?
The Monsters are Due on Maple Street
Time Enought at Last
Jess-Belle
The Last Rights of Jeff Myrtlebank
The Obsolete Man
The Masks
You Drive
Walking Distance
The Fever
People are Alike All Over

The After Hours
Nick of Time
Mr. Dingle, the Strong
Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up
The Graves
To Serve Man
The Little People

Stopover in a Quiet Town
Queen of the Nile
The Brain Center at Whipples

Whew! That's all the ones that I can remember the titles for.

i haven't seen many of the hour episodes. but i have seen and love the parallel. if there are two things i have a deep facination with, it is the concept of parallel universes and time travel. so that's why i like it. plus steve forrest is a fav too.

BRY,
I love Parallel Universes too. "The Parallel" is a great conceptual ep.
Some think the lead is wooden, I disagree, he was fine, and the ideal of another Dimension (thats TZ)::Coool. Time Travel is cool too ( Walking Distance is said not to be real time travel, but it seemed like it to me, it was a great ep)

I think WOD ,Persons and Persons U and Mirage Image are sort of like this too, dealing with parallels. TZ deals with with these concepts alot.

Star Trek dealt with this many times, Mirror Mirror, Yesterdays Enterprise, etc... Cool eps IMHO.

exactly. it wasn't about time travel but it touched the concept of it gracefully.

Actually, The Hitchhiker is based on a Orson Welles-narrated radio play from the early 1940's by the same name, broadcast on Suspense. I own the tape of it, in the Golden Age of Radio series (it incidentally being coupled with Sorry, Wrong Number, which seems like something more out of Unsolved Mysteries.

Hi, Pitooey! In case you're interested, here are those titles:
1) "Living Doll"
2) "Night Call"
3) "Nick Of Time"
4) "The New Exhibit"
5) The one with Cliff Robertson as the ventriloquist is "The Dummy." The one with Jackie Cooper is "Caesar And Me."

Creepy bunch of episodes, aren't they? I like all of these (except "Caesar and Me"--no offense to "Caesar and Me" fans, but you probably didn't mean that one anyway;)), and "Living Doll," "Nick Of Time," and "The Dummy" are in my Top 10. "Living Doll" and "The Dummy" were the ones that scared me most on first viewing.

This is my Top 10 (currently):

1) Kick The Can (my eternal favorite; about the nursing home residents and the secret of youth)
2) The Dummy
3) The After Hours (Anne Francis as a frustrated department-store shopper)
T4) Time Enough At Last (Burgess Meredith as a bank teller who loves to read)
T4) One For The Angels (Ed Wynn as a sidewalk salesman who loves kids)
6) Five Characters In Search Of An Exit (namely a major, a clown, a bagpiper, a hobo, and a ballerina)
7) Long Distance Call (featuring Billy Mumy and his sick grandma)
8) Nick Of Time
9) Living Doll
10) And When The Sky Was Opened (Rod Taylor as an astronaut convinced that his friend has ceased to exist)

Other favorites of mine:
Eye Of The Beholder
The Howling Man
Perchance To Dream
A Stop At Willoughby
The Big Tall Wish
Number Twelve Looks Just Like You
A Passage For Trumpet
The Purple Testament
The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street
The Lonely

I like "Mr. Bevis" too, as you might expect, but at a level a little below these. On a scale of 0 to 5, I'd give it a 4.

Thanks Jenny........ Thanks for the names of my favorite episodes. now I have one quick question about an episode.

I remember seeing an episode where alot of people were gathered in a beautiful type living room. I also remember that at the end, they wore masks that they couldn't take off. What is the name of that episode? That was a good episode too.

"The Masks." The makeup artist who created the masks, William Tuttle, was also the makeup artist on "Eye Of The Beholder."

Thanks, Pitooey aka Jenny Lee; glad I could be of help.

If you want to plunge right in for the full treatment, the best book on the series IMO is A Twilight Zone Companion by Marc Scott Zicree. There are also some excellent TZ sites on the Net.
