Can anybody tell me if Ralph Macchio was really 23 years old in the 1st Karate Kid??? Gimme a break he was 14, wasn't he?

Yep Ralph Macchio was 23 in the first Karate Kid released in 1984. According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) Website he was born in 1961.
