Richness/Poorness In The Show

Has anyone noticed anything about where the family live.

In the waterpark episode Lois gave a speech about how the family didn't have a lot of money, and I don't think either Lois or Hal have very high paid jobs.
But they all live in a huge house in the same neighbourhood as people who have pools. They can also afford to send Francis to milatery school, how is that?

Well Maybe they had some money but buying the house and sending francis to military school took away a lot of there money, and now they dont have that much.

This is what I think: This past season they had an unexpected child. I know they are not opposed to birth control (because they mentioned using diaphrams, condoms). However, since they worried about a pregnancy before, it's understood that Lois is not on hormonal birth control. Most of the time people don't get hormonal birth control either because they can't afford it or do not have insurance to pay for it. We don't know where Hal works, but it's fair to say that his job must not pay very much. So there you have it -- I vote "poor".
