..or a vocal coach. I was watching some concert she did on MTV, and good God, she cannot sing live for her life. She sounded like a mouse on crack. I know there are a lot of Avril fans here..but I dont get what the fasination with her is....care to explain?

Speaking for myself, I have only heard one of her songs and to me she sings fine. I personally like her because she has much natural beauty. In other words, to me, she's so fine.

You have to remember that singing live is a lot harder than in the studio, where artists can go back and overdub their mistakes. All in all, her beauty makes up for her lacking a melodious voice.

What can I say, I love her. :happyface

i agree her live singing sucks. i love her cd though. she sounds good on there. the wonders of computers....

i think she sounds perfectly fine. and at least she sings, ok. un-like all these pop ppl who lip-sync. but, like she was screaming the lyrics out during the rock and roll hall of fame. she sang really good when she performed on live with regis and kelly.

I think shes a cool kat and she played hockey;) and I am going to see her when I see Guster and John Mayer and so I will decide bout her singing live then but my friends who saw her said shes good in concert and I like her songs I have heard...but shes canadian...o well nobodys perfect;) just kidding (my cousins are canadian..)

Its gotta be hard to sing live. I mean you're doing everything you can to entertain the audience and sing as well. I've never seen Avril perform live, but I know its hard. Some people sound good ALL the time and some people dont. On a CD its sounds completely different because theres a whole process that a song goes thru to make it sound good. The singer may have to sing the song at a different pace to get the vocal track down. After the singer has recorded the track, the track is remixed, and mastered. Maybe even vocoded. They add all kinds of stuff to make it sound as good as it can. When a person sings live, the effects and requirements to make the song sound perfect are hard to meet. And then you have to remember that it is live. Not everything may go as planned. So yeah....just thought I'd share....

Live concerts are better when you're actually THERE...I've said that before, and it's true. I don't see anything wrong with Avril's live singing, and like everybody else says, it's alot harder to sing live than in a studio, because onstage you're jumping around, or dancing, etc. and you get tired, but in a studio, you're just standing there...and of course...there's computers like everybody else said. I think she's a good singer, and apparently so do alot of other people. So that's all that matters.

Because she is the star of the show. The band is just a back-up band.

Maybe it would sound better at the concert..the band probably plays louder than her singing.

You've said before you hate her, why are you watching her on TV then? She sounded good live IMO, leave her alone and don't watch her TV appearances if you don't like her. POSER!

Um timmy, do you have any room to talk with the singers you like? Eminem is an ugly ass white boy who wants to be black and doesn't know how to rap. :p It makes no sense why you insult her cause I'm obsessed with her music and she has a beautiful voice and I can relate to her songs.

argh god you idiot! I'm not a damn teenybopper you stupid ass and even if I was who really gives a $hit? Do you know what music I like? No. Unlike you who likes dumb ass music like Linkin Park, I don't even like pop, since you really want to know here are some of my favs Good Charlotte, Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, New Found Glory, Weezer is okay. I like mostly rock with a touch of pop, it doesn't matter what you call me cuz everyone likes diff types of music so whatever.
