It's difficult watching this show now because with hindsight, we know what was going on. Jay North was a victim of child abuse on this show and he's very outspoken about. I doubt if he pays any attention to reruns of this show. It would probably be too painful for him.

I agree, Jane. I often wish that we could all reach Jay somehow & let him know how much we enjoyed this show and HIM. I remember reading somewhere that Hollywood agents wouldn't cast him in anything after Maya, because they felt he wasn't an actor people wanted to see anymore, after he'd grown up.

Personally, I think Jay not being cast in any more projects is another example of how far off base the Hollywood industry was/is concerning "what the American t.v. audience wants to see", rather than Jay being a competent actor.

I wish there was an address to write him & tell him that he had a lot more fans than Hollywood led him to believe. IMHO, the Hollywood industry needs an enema.
