Sabrina Fat?

Is it just me, or is Melissa Joan Hart getting chubby?

Why do people want to go around pointing out fat people, especially when the people they're talking about AREN"T EVEN CLOSE TO FAT? This is the kind of thing that makes girls anorexic!

I don't think the person who started this post is calling Melissa fat -- just commenting that she's gained some weight. (And it's not an insult to say someone has gained weight, it's simply stating a fact). I think it's because she has more of a womanly figure now. In the early Sabrinas she was a teenage girl and had a body like one. But in the last couple of seasons, Sabrina has definitely gotten some womanly curves. No one's criticizing her for it. I only want to comment on the fact that her clothes do not compliment her figure now that it's a bit curvier. If they fit her a bit better, you wouldn't even have noticed the change in her figure much. I think some of the things the wardrobe people put her on are a bit snug & give the impression that she's bursting out of her clothes.

To me, "chubby" is not a very complimentary word. No one likes to be called that.

Personally, I'd rather be called chubby than skinney, but that's just me. I'm somewhere in between and people don't usually comment on my weight. But I guess whether or not chubby is an insult depends on the way you view the different body types. If you think it's more attractive to be on the leaner side, then yes, I guess you'd consider it insulting to be called chubby. But if a person's body type doesn't really matter much to you, then calling someone chubby is neither a compliment nor an insult. It's a perception thing. Do you perceive slim as better and more attractive than plump, etc. But Melissa has a very nice body, IMO.

I agree that on more than one occasion, Melissa Joan Hart looked
as if she was going to burst through her clothing. In fact, I
saw one episode from a year or two ago where a button popped
off of her button-fly pants and she quickly tried to cover it up. It
was funny and should have been an outtake, but it was left in
the episode. Maybe she ate too much at the studio buffet that

God with people thinking this way it's no wonder so many women have eating disorders. People are so shallow.

MJ looks great, always has. Did anyone see her in her "Jessica Rabbit" look on the recent episode "Sabrina Unplugged?" If that's fat or overwieght, then let it be!

She probably went as high as 130lbs a few seasons ago.

Melissa Joan Hart is NOT fat. She may have gained a few pounds or something, but she certainly isn't fat. I haven't even noticed anything about her weight! I'm sure some girls would like to look like her!

MJH looks great. I personally don't like rail-think girls, just my opinion. Melissa actually thought she was "fat" a few years ago. Im surprised nobody remembers this. It was all over the tabloids. It was around the time she was filming "sabrina down under". She had to get in a bathing suit and didnt like the way her body looked. I think u ppl should watch what you say. It's not very nice. It's kinda interesting that the posts on this thread are all "she's not fat", "what are you talking about", etc. for the most part. However, on the other hand, the thread is three pages long. It shows that body image is a huge issue in our society.

Having an eating disorder myself I am not going to say whether or not I think that she's "fat", I know my idea of body image is skewed. Each person has their own ideal, and own version of what's "fat", which is why there are all different shapes of people in the world. Just because your body size may not match the "ideal" is no reason to think, or say, you're fat. The average "wished for" height and weight for a teenage girl right now is 5'7" and 100lb. Having been there myself and hospitalized, I can tell you that that is not viewed by medical professionals as healthy.

Just something to think about when you look at another persons weight (or lack thereof).
