That's pretty much how I feel about N @ N too. Do any of you guys know the Dixie Chicks song 'Goodbye Earl'? Maybe we should rearrange the lyrics to that song and call it 'Goodbye Nick at Nite'.

lol the Dixie Chicks should kill N@N
Killing it is being too good to them. After they ruined my #1 watched channel they deserve to get covered with bugs, and I don't mean that ugly new blue logo either.

I don't know about that blue logo of N @ N's when you compare it to E!'s logo. I was sitting there watching the Batman, Rod Serling, and Twilight Zone Trial True Hollywood Stories on E!, it seems that E has an annoying logo too. You know how E usually runs the news across the bottom of the screen? Now they accompany that with some camera noises. Then of course you have the little pop ups for Anna Nicole's show with her damn yapping dog running across the bottom. If I wanted to hear dog barkings I'd just go outside and go into my neighbor's yard.
If any kind soul agrees with me about E!'s logo, please post.

Yeah, E has a big-assed logo. I get sick of logos sometimes. I agree w/ u guys that N@N is bad...I heard that they're adding Coach & Full House sometime. ARRGGGGGHHHH, I thought it was for classic tv, but they got 90's shows.

Well I don't get either network, so I couldn't comment on their logos.
NAN should die, I agree. I think it'd be better if they stop calling themselves a classic TV channel. Why are they trying to be something they're not?

exactly! they arent classic anymore, its all about changing their frickin lineup every 6 months to something that will get them better ratings. they put cosby and cheers on like 4 times in one nite and they repeat episodes! so sick of their crap. I just hope TV Land doesnt turn into them.

You have all a good point, Nick-at-Nite is going down-hill, they just have a whole things on their mind, they can't think of their shows and schedules what they are doing for their audiences. They're just not turning out what they want to be. I agree that they don't have 'classics', and I find it very lame that they call their shows 'modern tv classics' which is hard to believe because they're is no telling what a 'modern tv classic' is.
They think they doing something "good" but it turns the other way around.

I was going to bring up that same point. Yeah, they're "Modern TV Classics" now. I guess they define a "modern classic" as anything from 1980 - present. I think what they're trying to do is make Nick-at-Nite the station with modern shows and TV Land the classic station. IMO, TV Land isn't a great classic TV station either. But I digress. When I first saw Nick-at-Nite, they were airing shows like Mr. Ed. and Bewitched. Now look at them. They get a show, air it for three months like 500 times, and then it disappears forever. I've been hoping a new and better classic tv station would appear and crush Nick-at-Nite in the ratings. Or maybe that a current station would show more classics and destroy N@N. I don't know if it will ever happen, but I can dream.

I think it should live. I am definately gonna wake up early 1ce in awhile to watch Charles In Charge. And, I'm sure that Coach will be okay, or be shown too much, and will end up like Cheers (everyone hating it!). And, I love Family Ties, and Three's Company. And The Cosby Show is alright. I guess everyone is reconsidering that they like '80s shows? Cuz that's what they're airing now. In the next 5, 6, or 7 years, TV LAND will be doing it as well!

Are they really adding Roseanne to the N@N lineup? If so, what is the point? I get to see it everyday 2 times a day on TBS, and I think WGN was airing it as well. The same thing with Cosby, but at least Cosby being on N@N is growing on me. Oh well, I did however enjoy the first 4 seasons of Roseanne, but it pretty much went downhill from there.

Ah, you just crushed my spirits. I'll probably have deadly nightmares tonight because you are probably right. I hope tvland isn't going to turn into a Junior crappy channel, but I have my feelings that you are probably dead on the money.

Its just N@N wouldnt be so bad if they didnt take off shows so soon. im not saying keep every show forever, but just keep it for 2 or 3 years. Plus not get a new show every 6 months and over play it and no more double episodes. You could fid more shows in that way with more views.
Cosby-OVERPLAYED i can only stand so much of this show. after about 2 episodes i get bored
cheers- i actually dont mind this being on, but its ALWAYS on and its ALWAYS the same episodes
All in the family-same with cosby but its not overplayed. i dont mind this being on.
Family Ties- this show doesnt bug me as much.
Threes Company- it needs a way better time.
if they had 1 episode on, they could bring back better shows on with it like I Love Lucy,I dream of Jeannie,Gillians Island, Andy Griffin,Facts of life...etc... or add more. I just cant believe Full House is coming. i think there should be a rule that the show MUST be like 18 years old before it enters N@N. i mean, TV Land wouldnt dare put Saved By the bell on, but get other shows like how they just added Batman.
I've been wanting to post this for a while, and LucyCompanyPhan made the perfect gateway for it: I think a show should be at least 15 years oldbefore coming to NAN, and at least 20 years old before coming to TVLand.
That means NAN can show shows like "Kate & Allie", "Cheers", "The Cosby Show", "One Day at a Time", "Family Ties", "Benson", "Diff'rent Strokes", "The Facts of Life" etc.
It also means that TVLand can show shows like "Three's Company", "Jeffersons", "All in the Family", "I Dream of Jeannie", "Hazel", "Lucy Show", "The Partridge Family", "What's Happening!!!", "Father Knows Best", "That Girl", "Julia", "Petticoat Junction" etc.
That way, NAN can focus on shows made between 1975 and 1990, and TVLand can focus on shows between 1950 and 1985.

I agree with you all regarding your thoughts on Nick at Nite.
Had anyone told me back in the mid 80's when Nick was in
my opinion in its prime that 17 years later the network would
be a mere shadow of its former self I would not have believed it.
I find it almost incomprehensible that the former home of classic
tv is now the current home of TBS and WGN leftovers. I never
thought I would find myself waxing nostalgic for the days of
"Donna Reed," "Mister Ed," "Laugh In," and other series made
prior to 1980 airing on Nick at Nite. I cannot believe the low
level of quality the network has without question dipped down to
and seems only to be descending continually. While I loved the
80's shows during their original runs and to an extent in reruns
the overplay that Nick has seen fit to utilize has only grown
disdain and loathing for "Cosby" and the like. I would much
rather see "All in the Family" and "Three's Company" then
the same tired cycle of 80's shows.
Also there was a time when fall meant that Nick would be adding
some new and rarely seen show to their lineup but no more. Now all we have awaiting us in the future is the same unbearable
repeats of the Camp Nick at Nite schedule and series that are
being added such as "Charles In Charge" and "Coach" and God forbid "Roseanne" are once again shows that other channels either are currently airing or have not been off the air for a lengthy period of time.
In my opinion "TV Land" has become that shiny oasis in a empty, arid desert known as "Nick at Nite" or like I call it "Nick at Nightmares." I am grateful that we still have a network that truly is the home of classic tv and it is my hope that TV Land sees the
discontent that former Nick viewers feel for that type of programming and maintain the status quo.
And don't get me started on that "Camp Nick at Nite" crap; I would much rather be chased by a hockey masked killer at Camp
Crystal Lake then spend one minute at Camp Nick at Nite.

I think N@N should bring in shows that are rarely in syndication or aren't in it anymore..right now the only show that isn't on local sations that airs on N@N is "Three's Company". I think htey should add some shows from the 70s/80s that aren't often viewed anymore. "The Cosby Show" and "Cheers" both play on many local stations and I think they should've waited a few years to get them when the shows will've died down in syndication.

OH!!!! Is The Nanny coming to N@N? I'd rather watch that show than the stuff N@N airs now adays except for Threes Company. The Nanny is funny. I wish a cable channel would air it instead of local channels.

Well it's coming to Lifetime this fall. I know some people will gripe, but I for one will be rejoicing. I haven't seen the show in a year and a half.

lol nope the nanny isnt coming to N@N, but your right i would rather watch the nanny. im a big nanny fan myself. i just used it as an example of a show that u can still catch on tv without N@N.
The Cosby show is on 30 times just during camp nick at nite. that means i can watch it for about 15 hours. I miss the old block parties where they only aired 1 show a nite. I think the mini marathons are stupid. i think its just an excuse for N@N to play Cosby and Cheers as many times as it can.

I just became a Nanny fan. I heard of the show but never seen it. I tuned into it a few months ago then they took it off and are now airing it at 4 or 3 AM. Who is up that late/eary just to watch a show?

Sadly I think you might.N@N seems to be getting what TBS doesn't want anymore meaning in around 5-10 years Friends,Seinfeld,The Pare'nt Hood and other shows will most likely be on N@N.
