Not too long ago, Kelsey Grammar said he wanted to show off his singing voice more often on the show. Which he has.
Overall, do you think Kelsey is a great singer or does he just think he's better than what he actually is?
I think he's ok, but not great.

I know, all the Cheers stuff was hillarious. It's when he tries to be serious that kind of bugs me...I don't know
I've always thought he had a good voice.
I'm surprised he hasn't tried any musical theater when the show is on hiatus...

I think he has a wonderful voice. It's full and rich and I'd love to see him do some musical theatre. I often cast musicals in my head with the actors I want to see in the roles... I actually pictured him in my mind as the Dr. Parker in Bat Boy. Haha. With Bebe as Meredith, me as Shelley, and Kyle Lowder as Edgar (Bat Boy). LOL. A girl can dream, can't she? *sigh* LOL

I agree with you he has a great voice.BTW Bethany,a girl has every right to dream.I actually do it myself sometimes.
As far as casting Kelsey Grammer in a musical...
For many years when I was doing musical theater, I worked on a yearly Christmas production of "Scrooge" which is a musical version on"A Christmas Carol." It was made into a film in the early 70's with Albert Finney.
It has some really beautiful songs, I always thought it would be great if one of the networks did a remake of the film, with Kelsey Grammer as Scrooge. It would be a great part for him. And just to keep it in the Frasier family, have David Hyde Pierce play Fred, Scrooge's nephew!

***Thank ya very much, Thank ya very much, That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me!...***
I loved that version of A Christmas Carol! You're right, Kelsey would make a fantastic Scrooge. Perhaps he could do the annual Christmas Carol at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York. A lot of celebrities have taken the role of Scrooge in that production...Hal Linden, Roddy McDowall, Tony Randall, etc, etc.

That would be a great part for him. He really should do some musical theatre during his hiatus! (Well, not this year, because it's... over... next year!)

I've seen that version as well. I'm more partial to "Scrooge" though. Still, with the Networks cutting back on TV movies, "A Christmas Carol" at MSG might be the only way we'll see him as Scrooge.
