Does anyone like her?! I love her! I've recently decide to download a couple songs, to see if she's just a 1 hit wonder, and she's SO not a 1 hit wonder! She has a whole buncha great songs! JEEZ! I'm a big fan now!!!!

I can't really say if I like every song of Avril's because I haven't bought her cd, but I did download a few songs. I've downloaded "Complicated", "Anything but Ordinary", Nobody's Fool", and "Thing's I'll Never Say", and "Sk8ter Boi". I like every song that I've heard of hers, and I hope she isn't a 1 hit wonder. On the other hand, I hope they don't shove her down everybody's throat too. Ex. Britney S.

This whole new trend that has young girls writing and singing their "own" songs is the Britney/Christina movement REPACKAGED.

Why does Avril have to state her supposed "punkness" just to distance herself from Britney? If she was so true, then she wouldn't have to tell everyone she isn't Britney all the time.

And first of all, PUNK does not exist. It's a movement that ended twenty years ago. And everyone since who has stated that they're "punkers" are fooling themselves.

Second of all, I bet she can't even ollie. Third of all, she said that her favorite bands were Matchbox 20, etc.

Im bumping an old topic but oh well i was away and missed it all... Anyway Avrils stuff is no less rock than any of the "rock" that I hear people request on K Rock all the time. I mean seriously everyone i know thinks they're total punks because they listen to Blink 182... Who coincidentally IMO are a modern version of the Beach boys, with piercings. She may not be "as good as Michelle" on the guitar, but she does rock harder than Michelle. They're style of music is different and appeals to different people. I only had her single but tonight I went to Barnes and Noble and decided to purchase Avril's CD considering I love the song Complicated and I wanted to see if there were other songs I would like and I was soooo wrong she's not a one hit wonder. I listened to almost all of the songs and my favs are "My World", "Anything But Ordinary", "Unwanted", and "Losing Grip are gooood songs and of course "Complicated" (I think it's like the best song ever) I still admit the writing is kind of so so but she is a veeery good artist!

yeah. i changed my mind because at the time i though she was cool beans but i got over it when i started reading articles. ive noticed her interviews contradict each other alot, and no now that uive listened to her CD shes not punk at all.
