Change in Andy

Anybody ever notice that in the early years Andy is easy going and liked to joke around (like with Barney), and in the later episodes he was more serious especially after Barneys departure.

Andy was downright grumpy in the later episodes!!!

Andy doesn't seem to enjoy himself as much in the color episodes (after Barney left). He also is much tougher on Opie I've noticed.

Yeah, I don't really blame Opie for running away to the Marines that one time. If I had to deal with the Andy from the colored episodes, I would've ran away too.

Andy sure is different in terms of mood and personality in the color episodes as opposed to the black and white episodes. Maybe it was because Opie was growing older, I don't know.

I agree with you. I actually watched this show, but once Don Knotts left, I had a hard time watching it. Andy didn't look very happy in the later episodes.
