Another one fo those annoying topics about ear piercings

ok noone answered this question under that other ear piercing post so heres this one. Does getting your cartilage pierced hurt? What about with no numbing junk? What about if I do it myself?

Don't do cartalige yourself....trust me. If you do any other part of your ear yourself though, numb it with ice for at least an hour and a half. I learned the hard way.

I got my cartlige done @ Claires in the mall! It didnt hurt. The pierce it the same way as ur lobes! No biggy

Well I didn't have my ear lobed numbed when I got em pierced the second time, and it didn't hurt that bad...

Cartilage piercings aren't painful - I have 2 of 'em. In fact, I'd say that it hurts a lot less than getting your earlobes peirced.
But one thing I will warn you about - do not attempt to pierce cartilage by yourself. I got mine done professionally and they still got infected really, really bad. I'd hate to see what kind of mess my ear would have been in if I'd pierced it myself!
Get it done professionally or don't do it all.

Yes well my mother thinks anything more than one ear piercing turns you into a "freak show". She's very narrowminded. She got mad at me for staying with my cousins friend who has her nose and toung done and not calling to tell her that my cousin was making me stay with a freak. She also sais anyone with any piercings other than lobes are sick and twisted people with no respect for themselves. Now hearing her rant like this as your thinking that you want your cartilage done isnt exactally a confidence boost. then I asked her for it and she said "Ew thats disgusting what kind of a moronic freak ore you trying to be?" so I asked for a third hole instead and she said it is "Sick and retarded to look so assanine" and so to be annoying I asked for my belly button pierced and she said its stupid and wait till im 18 but thats not fair is it, just because she hates people who dont look like her doesn't mean I have to. I mean she just doesnt say no she like attacks you for asking.

But seriously, unless you have an ear piercing gun at your house, which I highly doubt you do because you'd need a license, you need to numb it. The only way to do it yourself is with a sterilized needle, and that's long and drawn out. The gun does it really fast. The needle, you gotta keep poking it through, then take it out, try to get the earing through, et cetra, et cetra. It kills like a mother f'er, I can tell ya that now.

well my plan was to sterilize the earring and shove that through.. like with the guns/// but nor as fast because it humanly impossible. but that would prolly hurt just as bad.

My parents have the same veiws. They forbade me to get anymore than 2 peircings but I went behind their backs and got more anyway. I had the other peircings for 3 months before either of my parents even noticed 'em! My mum started to yell at me, telling me I was "mutilating" myself and I said "well, it can't be that bad cos I've had 'em for months and you never even noticed!!!". After that she realised she didn't really have much ground for an arguement. I won and I went out and got more ear piercings :D So 'nyeah-nyeah' to my mother! :P
I'm getting my lip pierced next. You should just do what you want - it's your body afterall - and the chances are your mum won't even notice.

Yeah been there, done that. I let it close up though because my mother is just like your mother. She only let me get 3 in each ear but my moms friend is taking me for 2 more in my left ear.....

Anyways, the earring still hurts, no get ice or numbing cream or something

I like your freinds mom. none of my freinds moms would even try it. my moms psycho, she yelled at one woman for asking if I could go in the mall with her daghter alone. its kindof amusing tho..

Well I just realized something......I can't. If they realized she wasn't my legal guardian, she'd be in a hell of a lot of trouble. She realized that too and now she doesn't wanna..she just called me........

get someone older to drive you too EVERY piercing place around, eventually you'll find one who will do it.
