I really like this show. I think the whole cast works well together. Jim Belushi is one of my favorite actors. I 'm glad he has a tv show. I hope it lasts.

Yes, Courtney is great too. I liked her on Melrose and Ally. This character is so different from those other two. And she's great!
But, the funniest person on the show is her brother Andy. His facial expressions and some of the things he says really crack me up. I love tis show.

God you're right !! Courtney is so fabulous, she finally gets an opportunity to show her real talent ! Larry Joe Campbell is by far the best (lol they all are grrrrrrreaaaaaaat !!), his expressions are so much fun ! I think my favorite moment with him was when Jim lost his kids in the "Cheryl's day off" episode. Cheryl called at home to know what happens, and Jim prevents Andy to say it's Cheryl, so Andy asks if that was Cheryl. It looked so stupid !! It maybe wasn't your favorite moments, but I kinda liked this one !! I also LOVE Dana, she's fantastic, I like her argue with Jim and their jokes ! The kids are fun too, I like when they scream all over the house !!

that scene w/ Andy was funny. I like it when Jim has his girls thinking they are playing a game and really he's sleeping (or something) One episode the girls where walking around the house w/ their hands up on their heads (Like antlers) their mom asked them what they were doing and they said they were moose and they had to be quiet so they wouldn't wake the sleeping polar bear. Which was really their napping dad. That was cute.

I remember that scene, that was cute, I agree !! I think it was in the Valentine's episode...Have you seen all the episodes ? I remember when Cheryl came home, as Jim had to take care of the girls. Instead of doing that, he slept the whole day, and when Cheryl came, she asked the kids what their dad has done the whole day, so they told the truth ! Then Cheryl asks her husband to come, and she laughs at him because he has makeup on his eyes and lips, that was so much fun !! Then, she says she forgot to buy the milk, so she asks him to go and buy, and she proposes him to go drinking a beer with the guys !! He said he deserved it !! I laughed out loud when I saw that scene !! Remember ?

I believe you, I have them all on tapes, I watch them again, and again... but I love them all ! Don't miss the season premiere on october 1st ! I know some people who were on the taping, I have an idea of what the episodes are about... Have you seen the pictures of the ABC Preview Primetime Weekend at Disneyland ? I was so glad when I saw some of them ! Unfortunately, there are copyrights, and I can't download them. And I have to pay for some others if I want to get them ! Have you seen the video previews of the season ? Do you know some people who were at this event ?

LOL ok first go on www.abcmedianet.com, and then choose the section about the Weekend, you'll see the small pictures, you can't get them bigger, because it's only for press. Same on the www.wireimage.com/ but here you have small pics plus you have to pay for them ! But at least I want to give you an idea of how it was there... The first episode of the new season is called "the baby monitor". Jim's new neighboors borrow them one of their babyfone. You can expect the following : with the other one, Jim and his family can hear everything they say about them, which means not nice stuffs...

I like tvland and nick at night.
as for shows now I like ATJ(of course), My Wife and Kids, Friends, Frazier,The Simpsons', I also like Judging Amy. It's not a sitcom but it is on tv. I could go on but I don't want to bore you.:D

I was a fan of tv shows a couple of years ago, but once I was on holidays, I had so much tapes to watch (because I missed a lot of episodes) that I decided to stop watching everything !! Now I only watch "Ally mcBeal" which was cancelled, "Friends" which is going to be cancelled (!) and "According to Jim" which is going to be a real success for the next years !! I know it's a little desperate, but I felt I had no choice ! Everyone says 'once you started to watch, you never stop' !! Well, I do ! Now tell me about you, I'm curious :D

I watched a couple of episodes of 'Judging Amy', it sounds like a good show, but I hate the french version of tv shows, so I stopped to watch ! Wasn't it cancelled ? How much seasons are there ? That's funny, because a lot of people HATE 'According to Jim' because they didn't like the pilot. Thanks for watching !

Judging Amy hasn't been cancelled. It's starting its 4th season. I've watched it from the beginning.

That figures no one liked the pilot,ATJ) Usually when I really like a show it gets cancelled. But, so far so good.
Tonight was the Valentine ep. When Cheryl has those pictures of herself taken for Jim. I love Andy's reaction when the big picture of her was hanging in the store window. He drops his bags and screams like a girl. He cracks me up. He's so animated.:crazy: :lol:

Sometimes the voices are awful in french, I notice it when I compare it to the original version. That's why I'm trying to watch only english episodes, and that makes me learn new words sometimes...

I watched the first episodes of Judging Amy, it sounds good, but the French channels stopped to air the show ? Lord knows why, they are stupid here sometimes. When is the season premiere ? Has it started ?

Lool I loved that episode. One of my favorite scene was when Cheryl asked Dana to focus on her 'Valentine's day' ! Then, Dana proposed her to make that picture, and says ' no.. you'll never do that', so Cheryl asked 'why', and Dana answered 'because you're not FUN!' Then, Cheryl is upset to hear that, and Dana adds ' I thought you knew!!' I think this was one of my favorite episode !! Oh ! When Jim sees the photo and says 'you could go pro' !

Andy is just great ! That sometimes gets on my nerves, because there are only 4 real characters on the show (except the kids), and they haven't really found true stories for all of them. I mean I would like to see more Dana and Andy ! But if not, I'm gonna be alright, cause there's always Cheryl !!

What you said about Andy makes me think. He has some manners. That could be fun if he turned gay...

I don't know about a gay Andy. But, some of his mannerisms make you wonder. (I'm not meaning to stereotype.) Maybe the new season will have Cheryl's siblings more involved. As far as the kids, they are cute and everything but I don't like it when the kids dominate a show. Remember Full House? Once the kids started growing up the show lost its spark.
Judging Amy's premiere date is September 30 on CBS. I have no idea what network that would be for you. :)

I personally think that could be a good idea. You know, Andy seems to be troubled by something, he even had to go and visit a therapist. He seem to don't like himself, his datings are always awful. He grown up with two girls, and he always is on the girl's side. I don't think that's stereotype to gay people, but that's what I have realized in most of the gay people I know. They don't like each other, and I really think Andy's turning homosexual would be a great idea. Moreover, this show is a comedy, and remember when Ellen DeGeneres had to make her come back on Tv ? It was just great, and her show became more interesting! I just hope they won't make fun of him, but some stories can be fun about that !! And that could open people's mind !

Yeah, but I don't think the kids will ever take the most important role in that show! It's Jim and Courtney's show, they can't change it ! And I don't think the actresses who play Rubi and Gracy have a very good contract. I mean that's impossible that they will ever dominate the show !

No I don't have CBS here !! I would like to, really ! I'd like to get ABC too ! By the way, after Judging Amy's premiere, you have According to Jim's premiere the next day ! A lot to watch, and to enjoy !

Well, here goes. Cheryl's sister wanted Cheryl to help her buy a car and Jim told her that was a man's job(basically). He said women get sidetracked with the extras like the cupholder, etc. Anyway they picked out a car and it turned out to be a dud. Proving Jim right. So to prove his point he went to the car dealership to show the women how to not get distracted by other things and concentrate on a good price. Well, Andy and Jim go and Cindy Crawford was the car saleswoman. Jim wound up trading the minivan in on a convertible.
(Sorry I missed this part, I'm not sure if Cheryl found out about the car trading on Jim's behalf.)
So, Jim and Andy go back to get the minivan back and Cindy keeps dropping things and having to bend over to get them. That was a little distracting for the guys. But, they made it through. Jim told told her he needed to trade back and she said he would have to talk to the owner Mike. Jim was like, great Mike, that's a man's name. Well, out comes Mike Ditka(ex Chicago Bears coach)and Jim just stands there speechless.(Because as we know he absolutely loves the Chicago Bears. And that's how it ended. With Jim just standing there in awe. And Mike says something like may I help you? Jim just stands there.

There was a cute part w/ the girls, Jim was sitting outside reading the paper or something.And the girls wanted him to play and he told them that when he was a kid he liked jumping in big piles of leaves. They thought that sounded like fun and asked if they could do that and Jim said yeah sure the rakes are in the garage. And he remained sitting. The girls ran off cheering yeah!:rotflmao:

Duh! Dana! Man I am slipping. First I don't watch the premiere and now this. I missed the first one b/c I watched The Inlaws. Very disappointing. I like the dad on there though.
I thought According to Jim was great. But, I love Jim Belushi. Courtney was great as usual.
I like Will and Grace, Friends(no brainer), Frasier, According to Jim, My Wife and Kids, The Simpson's,Everybody Loves Raymond, Becker, King of Queens.These aren't in order.
And of course I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, The Donna Reed Show, The Honeymooners,almost anything from the 50's and 60's.

Yeah, unfortunately most of these old series have never been aired here in France..But I know most of the recent shows you mentionned..I only watch Friends and According to Jim ! By the way the 9th season of Friends looks great ! I've seen the 3 first episodes, and I really thought there were better than other episodes from other seasons. But I hope this season is the last one because this show starts to get on my nerves, I mean I like it, but 9 years is a little bit long, they should better turn the page !

As for According to Jim, I hope you haven't missed last night's episode ! I have the impression it was really good ;)

Hi welcome ! You missed last week's episode ? You mean the Thanksgiving episode, right ? Ok, so Cheryl and Jim are working on their kid's Thanksgiving play, but Andy and Bobby Cooker; president of the PTA, catch them together making sex at school. Cheryl gets upset since she really cares about what people think about her, but there's nothing to do, everybody knows about her and Jim having sex at school (because Jim wanted to prove a guy that his marriage isn't boring..he started talking about the zoo..) Anyway, Cheryl gets upset at Jim, and then at the end, they all congratulate Cheryl for the work she made on the set, expect it was Jim's job, who wanted to apologize..They end up with kissing, and Andy catch them again.. At the very end, the kids are having their play, and Bobby kisses Andy.. I think that's it. If anybody wants to change or add something feel free to leave a message ! I'm sorry I'm French so my English is poor ! See Ya, and I'm glad to hear from new fans.. (even if..you know what I mean, KIM !!)

I'm a relatively new fan, the shows been airing here in the UK for a couple of months now and after a rocky start is really picking up. I only tuned in out of nosiness to see 'if yet another American TV sitcom' was worth a look but it really is. Jim Belushi is definetely a ham actor but this role suits his goofy persona and Courtneys certainly not Georgia from Ally McBeal anymore. Andys the best though. I hope he gets more scenes and stories. According to Jim is the best of the bunch recently and I look forward to the rest of this first season here :D
