What has been your favorite summer movie so far? (I realize Austin Powers hasn't come out yet, but I included it in case this post actually lasts for a week)

Well I voted for Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones.

I really liked this movie. It was leaps and bounds better than Episode I. The romance seemed a little forced, but I'll forgive that because both the guy that played Anakin and Natalie Portman are hot and they look great together. But the action and special effects and story were all cool.

However, I haven't seen several movies I want to, such as Spiderman and Road to Perdition, so who knows maybe my vote will change when I see those. I also really liked Minority Report, Lilo and Stitch, and The Bourne Identity.

I have an interesting story to relate about when I saw Star Wars. I saw it in Luxembourg, and seeing it in a foreign country was a bit of a different experience than past experiences with Star Wars in the states. I'll tell that story sometime later, in my Over the Pond post (probably after this weekend since I'm going out of town).

It won't let me vote, but my vote is in the 'Other' category. I vote for 'The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood'. Wonderful movie, my friends and I are making their headdresses and wearing them to the movie

I loved MIB II. It is a lot funnier than the first but not better. It's still worth watching.

I saw two movies so far, and I'd have to go with Star Wars. It was just amazing and I loved it! Way better than Episode 1.

Great Question!

This one is hard for me to vote because I have seen three movies over the summer (so far) and all three were good but out of the three, two of them were excellent. Those two are: "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" and "Mr. Deeds" (an Adam Sandlers Movie). I have seen all of the Star Wars movies up to this recent one and I have seen most of Adam Sandler's movies. All (Star Wars/Adam Sandler movies) of those movies are good in which I enjoyed a lot. So you see it's hard to cast a vote between these two nominees because both are really good! Tell ya what: I won't vote at all til I see how the vote results go.

I've seen The Bourne Identity and thought that was pretty good. So, I think I'll say that was the best film I've seen so far. I haven't seen Stuart Little 2 yet in the theater, but judging from the previews I think it will be one of the best films I will see in the theater this summer, too.

:) :happyface

Half of those movies in the poll haven't even been released over here yet. Most of 'em are coming out in the next couple of months.
I voted for 'Scooby-Doo'. I know the majority of the English-speaking world deplores that movie but I quite enjoyed it.
My favorite film I have seen so far this summer though is 'Big Fat Liar' but that isn't on your poll. I know it was released in the States back in February so I guess that's why you didn't include it.
Mossopp,
*publicly standing up and defending the Scooby-Doo movie*

Men In Black II was good but not as good as MIB.
I wonder what happened to Linda Fiorentino, who played Agent L in the first part. I would've loved to see her in MIB II. Anyway, even though it wasn't as good as MIB, MIB II was funny, imaginative, and the characters were believable. I enjoyed it. My favorite characters were Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones), Frank the pug (dog), and The Worm Guys. :)

I saw Road to Perdition yesterday and that movie was so good. Hands down, it's the best gangster movie ever. I would give it four stars. I wish I had waited to see it before I voted for MIB II!

Charlie Max, they explained what happened to Agent L in MIB II. They said she went back to her job at the morgue.

And sorry about the poll guys. I should have made it so you could vote for more than one movie, but it'd been a really long time since I'd made a poll and I forgot! Oh well....

I was out of the country for three weeks, so I'm completely out of it. I saw MIB2 Thursday, and frankly, it sucked. I think I laughed once, and I don't even remember what it was about.

So I voted for Reign of Fire, a movie in which I've wanted to see for months, and it turned out pretty good. I've always liked Christian Bale(way back to his role in Empire of the Sun), so I mean, by default...

I did see Spiderman and Star Wars, but don't they seem like ages ago? Gosh, it felt like I saw them last year.

heres the list of movies ive seen this summer

Spider-Man~this is probably the best movie of the summer. i saw it 4 times! i loved it A+

Scooby-Doo~its cute and alot of fun. The Characters are so well played. B+

Lilo & Stitch~This is the family movie of the summer. I think everyone should see this. Its so much you can learn and enjoy in this movie. I saw it twice. A

The Bourne Identy~This movie was awesome. Its nonstop action. You didnt know what was gonna happen next. One of the best spy thillers in years. Its such a surpise hit. A

Men In Black 2~This is a fun movie. Its not as enjoyable as the first one, but I still really liked it. What made this movie good was sorta like the fact that its pretty much the same as the 1st, what made this movie bad is the fact that its pretty much like the 1st. Its not as fresh, but its a little different. the aliens make this the movie. B+

Mr.Deeds~Theres alot of Adam Sandler in this movie. What i mean is that theres alot of his same humor, but its a bit different. The humor is someone is always getting hurt or punched out by Deeds, but you love his charm in the movie. Funny Movie of the year! A-

it looks like my fave movies this summer are:

1)Spider-Man
2)The Bourne Identy
3)Lilo & Stitch
4)Mr.Deeds
5)Men In Black 2
6)Scooby-Doo

(i picked the bourne over lilo cos well matt damon & men in black 2 over scooby cos i really liked the aliens! lol)

Thanks for the info, Bootsy Whoosh.

Still, I would have liked to see her in MIB II even if it was in a short scene. Oh well, I can always pop in the MIB dvd and admire her all I want. :) ;)

Ok, I've seen 14 movies since school got out. (June 14) Yes, I know. I have no life but anyways.... I'd have to say Minority Report. I loved Lilo and Stitch and My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding and Ya-Ya but Minority Report, I have no idea why, but was and is one of my favorite movies now.
