Are you the kind of person who always put family first?

No, I don't. And there's nothing wrong with that. It all depends on the situation.

Nope. I always put myself first.
I don't have a big family - it's just me and my parents - and we're not very close.
I used to put my friends before everything but they turned on me and that hurt me real bad. Now I just look out for Number 1

Not really. I love my dad and all but I dont have a very large immediate family and Im really closer to my friends and distant relatives that are more friends anyways if you get what I mean.

I try to put family first and most the time I succeed at it I think. Of course it can be hard when siblings and cousins don't appreciate it and return the favor...

Same here, except that I get along with my folks. But my friends are jerks.

Exactly. Just my parents and my sister and I, and I personally have a list of problems I have with them. I'm not close at ALL. And yep, I had a LOT of friends. They all turned on me also. Hey Lorna, I wonder if we could be related? ;)

For me it's the other way around. I rather come to my friends rather than my parents if I need something.

No not really. I use to be close to my mom when I was younger but we have drifted farther apart since then. I'd say I put my realitives first though. I'm closer to them, then my actual family. But I don't put friends first I've been betrayed by friends to much.

My family is VERY close. Family comes before EVERYTHING! I missed my junior AND senior prom due to family emergencies and I don't regret it at all. Family you will always have, but friends come and go. Family comes first for everything and we are ALWAYS there for each other.

I try to put my family first, because they are important in my life. If I was having some kind of problem, I know I could ask them or tell them my problem. I don't usually do that, because I'm a private kind of person. I would rather write in my diary and try to figure it out on my own. My friends are important too, but I would still pick family over my friends or myself.

Let's just say I try to put family first in most if not all situations.

It certainly sounds like we're in the same kinda situation.

Nope I would never put my family first. Since I don't really get along with my mother. I don't put friends first either cause I don't have friends.

Never ever? LOL me either. Most likely the first people I put forward are all my friends here, because I can't imagine being alone.

Actually, no I'm not. My extended family (aunts, uncles, etc.) has always treated my immediate family (mom, dad, sis, bro) like dirt pretty much. So we're not too family oriented. Plus, my immediate family frequntly makes me feel like an outsider and at times makes me very miserable. I always have felt like I have let them down and I am a very keep-to-myself person around them because many of my beliefs are entirely different from theirs and things like that. I mean, there are times when I enjoy my family's company, but other times I want to keep my distance. They don't know half of the things about me (socially, emotionally, etc.) and frankly, I don't think they need to know. So when I am around them, there is a lot of bottled frustration and feeling uncomfortable. I love my family, don't get me wrong. It's just the way I feel.

I usually put my friends before family. My family isn't close at all, really. My parents are pretty close to each other, but neither of them are very close to either me or my sister. I don't trust my parents at all, and we've never been an open family, so I can't tell them everything. As for my sister and I... she can be nice for the most part. We usually team up to get something from my parents. But if she wants something for herself she just throws me aside. I'm much more closer to my friend's family than my own.

Yeah, I have a lot of relatives, but they aren't like family. My "family" dumped my mom & me after we didn't have as much money as we used to. I say screw it, I don't care, but if I had a family I liked, I'd put them 1st.
Also, I haven't seen my brother for years, and I have a sister I've never even met.
