Did anyone watch the 73rd All Star game?

It was rather interesting that it ended in a tie. It was a good game though. I found it rather amusing that the fans were booing Mr. Selig. I just can't bring myself to like that man very much. I understood why they ended it, but still had to laugh at the whacking he got-lol. Oh yeah, and don't even get me going on how FOX covered it and their 'way too many commercials.'

Anyway, did anyone else watch the game? (...or am I conversing with myself again-I gotta work on that...)

I watched it, of course. I thought the pre-game show was very well done. It was a good game, but it was weird that it ended in a tie. That catch Torii Hunter made was awesome. I was disappointed that there was no MVP especially because it was just renamed in honor of Ted Williams. Oh, and how cute was that little Posada!? LOL Even for a Yankee, he was cute. I understand why the game ended in a tie, but I think it could've been handled better. They didn't have to decide when they still had a half inning to play. When they announced the decision, they gave the fans a chance to react and boo. Even in his hometown, Bud Selig got booed. I should be the commisioner of baseball. LOL ;)

Anybody could do better then him. I watched only like 3 innings. Then I went to sleep for like an hour and watched the rest of the game. And then I fell asleep again.

Yeah, I enjoyed the pre-game ceremonies but I had issues with FOX and their timely commercials.
I felt the tie thing coming once the AL tied it up. What else could go wrong with baseball at the moment than that?
Torii Hunter can get some serious air over those walls. He isn't as good as Andruw Jones when it comes to laying out for the ball, but he can scale the wall with the best of them.
Chris Burman of ESPN might have hit it best when he said perhaps no one is worthy of a Ted Williams award because there will never be another like him.
The little Posada was so cute. Even he was Yankee. He could speak some Spanish, too. That little dude could have helped me big time a couple months ago.
Mr. Selig had to of been breaking a serious sweat in the middle of the 11th. I understand he had to make a decision, but he was pretty much saying 'there's no way the N.L. will tie this thing.' From and N.L. fan, that annoyed me.
Anyway, I think it's amusing how Selig got booed in his hometown. He deserves it. I hope he and the player's association reach a decision soon though because I don't want another stroek season-'94 stunk.
I understand why they had to leave the game as it was, but I also wanted to chat with the fans..."Let them play!"

-ahem- To make it even, I'll say something nice too.

I LOVED what they did for Ted Williams, even know he was a Soxie. I thought it was very appropriate.

Anyways I saw it, obviously. And Pequeno Posada was cute.

The FOX commercials annoyed me as well. I really really really really really really really REALLY hope that there isn't a strike this year. That would totally stink. Bud Selig needs a lot of help in doing that job.

Uh, I don't know his name or age or anything. I only called him Pequeno Posada cause pequeno means "small" en Espanol... anyways, yes, I have nice class :D

Around here in Wisconsin, that's all the news would talk about for days -- the All Star Game and the end result. It started to bother me, but I think it's because Wisconsin is cursed with the worst baseball team and to get this much baseball attention in the area was (apparently) exciting. :happyface :happyface :happyface

lol Yeah, I have relatives in WI so I've been to a few Brewers games... LOL People there were more excited about seeing the new roof open and close and watch the sausage races than about the game! LOL

 The sausage races "are nothing to sneeze at." The mascot sliding down the 'homerun slide' is pretty nifty, too;) The Brewers have good young talent, they just can't seem to get it altogether.

Elizabeth, I owe you a burger for converting Mother into a Yankee hater! The entire Red Sox fan thing isn't too great, but the Yankee hating feelings she are expressing just makes me smile:D Thanks for helping her find her senses:wave:
