How much does it cost to see a movie where you live?
Here, it's like $3.50 for the first show of the day, then it's $6.75.

kids are $7.50 and adults are like $8.50. they keep raising the prices. and they keep giving you coupons that they never accept! it's so annoying. i think only senior citizens get discounts like on the matines or something.

You know? I have no idea. It varies from theater to theater and depends on what time of day you actually go see the movie. It cost more to see a movie during the evening.
But I haven't seen a movie in the theaters for a long time. The last movie I saw was "Crossroad" that I took my sisters to see. But that was a long time ago. Not sure how long though.
New York City ticket prices are ten bucks.
Never let it be said we do things small round here...

There are 3 cinemas that I go to.
Hanover: Adult: $7.00, Child: $5.00, Senior: $5.00 ((I pay $&))
Braintree: Adult: $8.00, Child: $5.00, Senior: $5.00 ((So I pay $8))
South Weymouth: Adult: $6.50, Child: $4.00, Senior: $4.00 ((I pay $6.50))
Hanover and Braintree are stadium seating w/ many theaters. S. Weymouth has 2 theaters.... lol.

We used to have a great theater arond the block from me that showed movies for 4 bucks. It was a great multiplex, brand new, clean...
The movies were a few months old, in fact on some occasions you could see a movie and then go to the local Blockbuster and get it on video. But it was a great way to catch a movie you were meaning to see.
For some reason, they closed it down. They said in the papers it wasn't making enough money.
Yet in the past few years there has been a multiplex boom in NYC, selling tickets for of course, ten bucks.
Sometime I miss New Jersey where some theaters still give you a few bucks off for a matinee ticket...

We used to have a cinema in Helensburgh way back in the days when my parents were young but it got shut down. The nearest cinema to me now is in Clydebank which is about 35 miles away. Tickets at peak time cost £5.20 (about $10). During the day, tickets are £4.80.
Sometimes we get this thing that comes round my area called The Screen Machine. It's this mobile cinema - it looks just like a big truck from the outside - you can fit about 35 people in it at a time. Tickets to see movies in The Screen Machine cost about £4.

I can go to different theaters. If I go to Gardner, it's $5.00 for a child and $7.00 for an adult. If I go to Greenfield, it's $2.50 for a child and $4.00 for an adult. But the theather in Greenfield isn't as good as the one in Gardner.
