...in abstinense. for any of you who don't know what it means it means waiting to have sex until your married. I was talking about it in another topic and was curous how you all felt.

Yes, I do. Say if you think you have met that "special person" and you and your partner decide to have sex. Well, they do. Later in the relationship something happens and they split (think: Boyfriend/Girlfriend relationships). When it comes time to meet that special person and he/she finds out you're not a virgin but he/she is . . . wouldn't you think that put a strain on that special person? I would. This is my opinion, but I think it wouldn't be right at all for the virgin to have to go through that painful issue.
That is one of the reasons why I believe in abstinence.

Premarital sex is dangerous, both for the body and the relationship.
Aside from the risk of transmiting diseases such as Aids, what happens if the woman becomes pregnant?

I do
I do not believe in abstinence, but considering my social life as of late, I have no choice but to practice it...

Okies, I personally think I wouldn't have sex b4 marriage, but my opinion might change if I meet someone I love. So, I clicked "I'm not sure"

Yeah, I believe in it. Everybody on here could call me a fool because I believe in waiting for my soul mate before I have sex. I don't care how long I wait, that's what I've just believed. Seriously, my Senior year in highschool so many girls were walking around pregnant. I'm glad they didn't have an abortion, but to be still in high school and pregnant, its kind of sad.
This story is a reminder for everybody to think into what they are getting into first before jumping the gun.....
I had a friend that fell in love with this guy. She was around about 17 or 18 when this happened, and she was just head over heels in love with him. Yeah, you can guess where this is leading. They had sex, and she got pregnant. The day of graduation practice, I was talking with her (this was after she had the baby) and she said that if the guy comes to graduation that her family will kick his ass. Turns out that he showed up for the important part of getting her pregnant and then ditched her when she had the baby.
I can tell you so many other stories just like this one, but if you are the type of person that doesn't believe in waiting for that special someone or you think that you've met that person and just haven't got around to the question of marriage yet- be 100% sure before doing anything. You never know, you may turn into a sequel of the story I just posted above.....

i don't. I'll prolly have sex next yr. I don't care. I'll use protection, thats what everyone problem is. They think one time wont hurt; it does. Since i dont believe in abstinence, i believe strongy in using 4732847297 kinds of contraception. I won't get pregnant tho... if I did i would kill myself. Im not jokeing.

When i was 10 and my mom was pumping it into my head that sex was a choice between a woman and a man who are MARRIED... yea, i guess I did. But now I think it's a choice that a person has to make within themselves. They can't think "what if i don't marry this person?" they should think "right now, in this moment, do I really love the person standing in front of me" you can't live life for the little "what ifs"

Let me explain this. I don't go for jumping in the sack with just anyone. However, if you're pretty darn sure you've found the love of your life and you're comfortable with the whole thing, then go ahead. Especially if you're engaged. I'd hope if you got that far, you're pretty commited to each other all ready.
I have a friend that has two kids with her boyfriend. They haven't gotten married yet, but for the last 5+ years they've been solid. Some people just don't get married.

It really depends, actually. I mean, casual sex is so uncool. I don't understand it, and I frown upon it. I really can't understand how anybody can just sleep around, with no respect for themself. I've learned my lesson about not jumping into things, and I'll choose my mate wisely...I hope. ;)
But as of now, there isn't much choice in this wasteland known as high school...
But as long as it takes to find him...

In my opinion there are far too many people around these days who are perfectly happy just to jump into bed with someone they only met about 5 minutes ago. Therefore I rather admire people who wait untill they are married before they have sex.
However, what about gay people? They can't get married, so are they just supposed to never have sex in their lives?
I don't see anything wrong with pre-marital sex - I just think you should wait untill you are sure that you are in love before you do it.
