The episode I have been looking to get on tape, "The Draft Dodger," may be airing this coming Saturday Night at 11:30pm on Nick At Night. This is only going to happen if Nick at Nite's epsiode number corresponds to an episode guide that does not count the first two shows which, I think is the pilot, as episode numbers. Normally the Draft Dodger episode is 149 if you count the pilot as two shows. But some epsiode guides refer to "The Draft Dodger" epsiode as number 147. If the second scenario is true then we are guaranteed to see "The Draft Dodger" episode Saturday Night at 11:30pm. Something tells me that this will not be the case and Nick at Nite's episode number will go as if "The Draft Dodger" episode was 149. If that is the case then the show will not air at all this week and in all likelihood won't air until Christmas time on Nick at Nite.

Some new info. regarding "The Draft Dodger Episode." It turns out that some episode guides combine the one hour special All In The Family episodes into one episode and some separate it out into separate episode numbers. Example: This episode happens to be right before "The Draft Dodger" epsiode, it is titled Archie's Operation, and it had two parts but it aired in a 1 hour special on the same night. The other example of this separation takes place with a three parter called Archie's Brief Encounter. Part three was correctly separated out but parts 1 and 2 were also separated out in this episode guide but they again aired in a 1 hour special on the same night. So this helps me out somewhat in figuring out why there is disparity in different guides. This does not guarantee that "The Draft Dodger" will air this Saturday Night, because we do not know what epsiode guide the station follows. Most guides I have seen have not separated out 1 hour specials with separate numbers but some do so we can only hope that Nick at Nite does not unecessarily separate 1 hour specials when they create their schedule and we also have to hope that their airing of the shows correspond to what is posted on their schedule. Just hope to see the episode air Saturday Night and maybe we'll get a treat. The episode is my favorite as you can tell and it is very rare and highly regarded by Mr. Lear as one of his and the casts' best shows so let's hope that it airs.

I received an email from someone who has the episode already taped. So even if the episode does not air this Saturday Night, I will have a good chance of finally having this episode in my possession.

More interesting stuff, Nick at Nite's schedule that indicates episode numbers seem to be one episode behind many of the episode guides I have seen and this is based on today's episodes. However this is not something to worry about with regard to the Draft Dodger episode because, if this pattern of being an episode number behind continues this week, then The Draft Dodger episode will air Sunday at 11pm instead of Saturday Night 11:30pm this week. I'll continue to monitor this situation as the week moves along and I'll keep updating it.

"The Draft Dodger" is not on the schedule for Saturday or Sunday, you can view the schedule with titles and summaries at the following url - http://206.132.36.207/whatson/schedule/NAN_print.tin?date=4&zone=0

where it says date=4 in the url you can change that number lower or higher to view the schedule in advance or back a few days.

I believe the episode numbers they use correspond with the episode guide on the All in the Family Nick at Nite site at http://206.132.36.207/tvretro/shows_nan/aitf/nan_version/index.tin

Very disappointing TJ, however, I have seen Nick at Nite change their airing around at the last second. Sometimes they will air a different epiosde then what they indicated on their schedule. I am under the impression that the episode will not air. It simply is not something you can expect to happen more than once a year because of how powerful and famous the episode is plus it is a Christmas episode and it is not quite Christmas time.
