This Monday, June 17th, A&E is having a TV-ography (I'm not sure if it's one hour or two) on The Love Boat. :) :)

It's one hour, and a repeat though. E! is having a special on Sunday the 23rd which is a premiere, called TV Tales: The Love Boat, 8pm e/p.

The A&E special had some factual errors, like stating that Fred Grandy left in 1984, and saying that his departure was the beginning of the end. Actually, Fred left at the end of the 1985-86 season, when the show was cancelled as a regular series. They did three specials the following season without him, but those are the only episodes of the original series without Gopher.

Thanks TV Guy! That show last night confused me so much, because I was sure I remembered Gopher being on it until the last season. I was also disappointed that Lauren Tewes wasn't on it, but I know her husband was ill when they made it. Does anyone know if Lauren will be on the E! special Sunday night? I'm really looking forward to that one! :bye:
PATTY DUKE: Doc, have you ever been in love?
DOC: At least once every cruise.

Oh, I forgot, wasn't another mistake when they said that the show lasted for over nine years? If the first season was 77-78 and the last season was 85-86, doesn't that make it eight years?
It's been nice to see the behind the scenes shows about The Love Boat, and with E!'s show being 2 hours, I'm sure it will have lots more information about the show.
I'll definitely be taping TV Tales on Sunday...
TV Guide even has a blurb about it.
