What was your favorite horror movie disaster scene?

Mine goes for the Tornado scene from "Where the heart is".It's chilling and scary each time I see it.BTW that's the scene in which Stockard Channing's character dies while she was delivering soup to a sick friend.

Luckily for Natalie Portman Channing left her all her money.

Somehow I knew Natalie Portman would be mentioned in this post.

The chilling scene of Manhattan as it is about to be destroyed by a gigantic tidal wave caused by a comet impacting the earth in Deep Impact. Very terrifying thought...

I always thought the capsizing oceanliner scene in the "Poseidon Adventure" was pretty cool.

The Exploding White House Scene in "ID4" was good too.

Well, it's not a horror movie, but it was a disaster scene...

I liked the end of "Titanic".

I think the attack on Pearl Harbor is THE worst. I think it is a good movie, but I can't watch that scene...well let me rephrase that.

The one part I don't like is when the bomb drops into the galley of one of the ships. I would have no problem with the movie if it wasn't for that scene. It bothers me because I had a friend who was killed on the USS Cole in the galley...

Anyway...moving on.

The best ever disaster scene was in Deep Impact. The huge tidal wave freaks me out, because I live near the coast as well.
Or the big destruction scene in Independence Day.

Hallalujah Sistah Mossop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the best disaster scene was from "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" when Cameron kicks the red Ferarri off of the garage. And it calls into the grasses. And Ferris goes over and says (in a very calm way) "You killed the car." THAT CRACKS ME UP EVERYTIME!

I live on the East Coast and this vision haunted my nightmares for a long time, especially seeing that the comet supposedly hit about two hundred miles off the Carolina coast where I live!!!

I have a question, why does everyone B-I-T-C-H when Sitcomwriter talks about Natalie Portman, but no one care when most of you others obsesse w/ Nancy McKeon or Lisa Whelchel??? I think it's stupid because most of the people who say stop talking about her, are ones who blab about someone they like!

The attack on Pearl Harbor in the movie with Ben Affleck was very very good. I also liked the scene in Mothman Prophecies where the bridge collapsed.
