Brent Townsend was born in beautiful Fayetteville, North Carolina on May 18, 1988. He was son of William T. Townsend and his wife Patricia A. Townsend. They were both living with eachother along with Brent's four older siblings.

Brent was considered a sweet boy while he was living in Fayetteville. He had many friends in his area and he just fit right in.

But Brent had attended elementary school at the local elementary school near the Townsend residence. Until things with his parents when downhill in the late 1990s, Brent had to move to a beautiful town where he was perhaps best known. The name of that town was Warminster.

They moved in there house in Warminster in late April of 1999. But the problem was had to do with finding a school for Brent like the school he went to when he lived in Fayetteville. The district that was close by his house on 20 Adams Avenue where he lived with his mother there had elementary schools K-5. But Brent went to a school where he must have been perhaps best known at. That school was Buckingham Elementary School.

He was there for two years. Fifth and Sixth Grade. He was a joy at that school. He was driven in and driven out every day by his mother.

At the end of the 1999-2000 school year, Brent moved on. They thought he lived in the Buckingham/Doylestown area. He did not. His address and telephone number was never listed in the Buckingham Elementary School directory. But he was in luck that he went to that school.

Beginning in September 2000, Brent went to Log College Middle School, where he had many friends.

On Friday, March 22, 2002, he had either missed the bus or was kicked off and was required to walk home because of his bad behavior, Brent Townsend walked home. But it was a slow and short or maybe long walk.

He was run over by an Asplundh tree-chipping truck. He did not tell his mother anything. The Assistant Principal of Log College called Brent's mother on the phone saying he missed the bus and could take the late bus home. But he did NOT take the late bus home. He tried to walk home. Again, he definitely missed it.

He was walking off the curb and stepped into traffic at York and Street Roads. The truck which was right across the Drug Emporium in Warminster by Brent's house and neighborhood hit him and did not stop. It just kept going.

The next call came 20 minutes later at Abington Memorial Hospital where Brent was rushed to.

For the weekend, the other side of the family from North Carolina stopped by that entire week. They decided to stay for two weeks until they moved back to North Carolina.

Brent was rushed to the emergency room and he was getting checked out. He was pronounced dead that night.

Hundreds of people gathered at Brent's memorial. They left cards and flowers. They even did that at the intersection where Brent was killed at York and Street Roads.

Dozens of friends gathered at his memorial service as well as the viewing.

Brent was a sweet kid. He was burried without a tombstone. A memorial to him stands sweetly at the intersection where he was killed.

4 siblings, 2 parents, tons of relatives and friends will always know that Brent's passion will live forever.

But in the end, Brent Townsend will not be remembered for how he died, but for how well he lived.
