Collinside: A Dark Shadows Story
Episode One- The Coincidence
Victoria Winters sat in a chair on Plane Dune, Wallace Deacon’s private plane. Wallace was a friend Victoria met in Collinsport in 1966, and finally met up with him in 1975. It was now 1977, and Victoria finally decided to leave Collinwood and flew to Los Angeles, California to start another life, with Wallace.
Wallace and Victoria were pretty much a couple, and were going to L.A. to live in a hotel suite. The hotel, named Collinside, was known to be haunted by unidentified ghosts. From Victoria’s experience, she barely cared about ghosts.
Wallace brushed his hand through is dark, wavy hair. It went down to his ears, and was usually in his face. He didn’t really care about it, but he sometimes got annoyed, and felt like chopping it off until there was not hair left.
“We’re finally here,” said Victoria to Wallace, who was seated next to her.
“It’s about time” Wallace replied, “It’s taken longer than usual.”
Wallace and Victoria both stood up at walked off the plane. They were excited to get to their nice suite, which was much different from the old Collins house where they used to reside in.
They took a taxi to the Collinside Hotel. Wallace and Victoria began a conversation why in the cab, and talked about the things they saw.
“Don’t you find it odd?” Victoria began “That the hotel just so happens to have the name Collins in it?”
“Of course. It’s very odd. I believe a non well-known Collins developed it in the 1800’s” Wallace explained.
“Really? I thought I knew everything about the Collins history” Victoria said.
“As I said, the Collins as not well-known. That’s probably why you’ve never heard of it.”
“I suppose. Oh, look. We’re here.”
The two looked out the window and saw a tremendous building, at least 50 stories high.
The cab driver began to speak “Nice, isn’t it? They just remodeled it! Once you go in, you’ll notice that they have a huge picture of it before re-construction.”
“Thank you, sir.” Victoria said.
Wallace and Victoria both got out, and received they’re luggage from the taxi driver. They began to walk up to the hotel, to enter. As they entered, they noticed the picture. Victoria noticed how it resembled an oversized mansion from the former century.
The door to the suite swung open, and Wallace and Victoria walked in. The first thing Victoria noticed was a portrait, fairly resembling Josette Collins. Then she saw that the bedroom looked like Josette’s room in the Collin’s mansion.
“Have you noticed…” Victoria was cut off.
“Yes.” Wallace said.
