Do you think GG is suitable for kids? It does have some mild language and sexual implications, but I think most of the episodes, if not all, are okay for kids. :)

IMO, it all depends on the age of the kids. I mean if one is 10 and under,
then I don't think it would be suitable,
mainly because of the active conversations they have about sex. As far
as the language, I'm sure most kids have
heard that type of language or at least
some kids have.

I think it's a good show for kids to watch. I watched it when it originally aired when i was 2-4.

I think it is suitable for all kids when your 3 you don't know anything about sex anyways so you won't even know what they are talking about.

I watched this show when it was in primetime and I was very young, and I don't remember GETTING any of the sexual humor. So I think it's okay to let kids watch, cause they won't understand. I didn't know til a couple of months ago what an intrauterin was, and I'm 20.

Compared to many shows that are on today, TGG is very mild in comparison. I watched it as a young kid back in the 80s and loved it, laughing my head off!!! Kids hear far worse today on the playground, unfortunately...

Although not really comparable, it's like "Rugrats." There are general humorous moments, and then there are adult humor moments. So, things may just fly over a kid's head, while as he or she grows, the subtlties may become more obvious.

Jayman now that i think about it. The Rugrats and the Golden Girls have a very similar concept at their roots. The rugrats make very little kids think they can do anything they want too regardless of HOW YOUNG they are. On the oppisite end The Golden Girls hep people to not fear aging. especially Sopia, an 85 year old woman as active as some 30 year olds. And Blanche has got to be a role model for thousands of 60-year-olds

Back in 1985 when the Golden Girls first aired, I was 12 years old and I loved watching the show with my mum and it never did me any harm. At 12 some of the things might go straight over your head but I never ever felt embarrassed and I don't think there was any bad language as such. I'm 29 now and I think there are more young fans of the show around than anything else, in my opinion. Some people have compared the GG's to Sex and The City but I can't agree with that, since SATC is sexually explicit, whereas in the GG's there are just mild references to it (unless we're talking about the Beep Beep Beep of the Tom Tom episode, where there was double entendres aplenty) :D

I don't think The Golden Girls is suitable for kids. The sex jokes aren't necessary for that particular kind of the age group. The kids are to young and they will might get the wrong impression of the sex jokes and thus it will might be harmful to them. Just my thoughts.
