Yes, they were going to air them in October 2002, but they decided not to because of TV Lands cable rights to The Honeymooners, so they had Hallmark back out because of the extremely high costs of restoring the prints to the quality expectations.

Yes, there were 4 ABC specials: "The Second Honeymoon" in 2/76, Christmas Special in 11/77, Valentine's Special in 2/78, and another Christmas Special in 12/78. A long lost Honeymooners sketch aired in the fall of 1973 as part of a one-hour Gleason special on CBS. A brief clip of this sketch was shown on the "Honeymooners 50th Anniversary" on CBS hosted by Kevin James in May of '02. In answer to the original post, I have the 4 ABC specials plus 8 of the 1966 "Europe" musicals and the 1967 version of "King Of The Castle" which was part of that syndication package during 1977. Quality good to very good since they are VHS copies of my original Beta off-air tapes. These shows are not being shown as part of the newly released "Color Honeymooners" that have been picked up by GoodLife Network. They are showing the musicals that began the week following "King Of The Castle" starting in January 1967. THOSE I would love to add to my collection.....but GoodLife Network is not to be found on Long Island.

I remember seeing the 1977 Xmas special and it was quite good (especially with Audrey Meadows returning as Alice). From what I remember, Ralph comes up with a can't miss scheme to win a big Xmas lottery jackpot and borrows money from anyone and everyone so he'd have enough tickets to increase his odds. He ends up winning a prize which allows him to pay everyone back, with 12 cents left for himself.

Actually, it was the 1978 Christmas special that dealth with Ralph's lottery scheme. The 1977 Christmas show had Ralph directing and appearing in a Christmas play (A Christmas Carol) that his boss Mr. Marshall (played by Gale Gordon) asked him to direct. Naturally, he gets Norton and the wives to appear in it as well.

Since that post I have been fortunate to have gotten all the Color Honeymooners that have aired thus far from Goodlife. They're great to see again after all these years.

I honestly don't know if Goodlife is available on Canadian cable TV. It's a tough one to find here as well.
