Maybe Ted was right?

Do ya ever think how Ted was supposed
to be the newsroom idiot but in many ways he was the most honest character? I mean, he's the one who used to come up with the "what is life" bits and "God hits you with
his newspaper" and they almost always
dismissed it as silliness. And yet
now Ted Knight really is dead and all that stuff was basically true. It isn't just a joke. And in some important ways he was smarter than the others.

I haven't given that much thought, but I will say this, Ted Knight was much more than the idiot that he played on the MTM. He is actually a brilliant actor, the fact that he was able to play the idiot news anchor role so well, is testament to his acting ability. I personally think his character and Betty White's character were the funniest ones on the show.
